We are planning a trip to WDW next February for President's Week. Our children are too young for school so we can go anytime of year. HOwever, my mother in law is a school teacher and wants to go with us so we decided to go while she is off for Presiden'ts week. We realize it will be more crowded that week so my husband and I want to either go a few days early or stay a few days later to enjoy lower crowds. Is one time better than another? Are the crowds consistent through President's Week, or is one end of the week better than the other? Thanks!

We went this year with my parents (also teachers) and our 3 non-school aged kids. We were there President's weekend through the following weekend. Epcot and MGM were not too bad on Sunday and Monday but Magic Kingdom was busy both days we were there. Using Fastpass helped a lot. Animal Kingdom was not too bad either. I expected much more of a crowd the whole week. I think the weekend after President's Day is typically quieter. Our kids had a ball and didn't seem to mind the crowds so we would go again at the same time.

I agree...we were there in 2004 from the Sunday of President's Day weekend until the following Saturday. The crowds were HUGE on Sunday, Monday, and to a lesser extent Tuesday, but as the week went on the crowds got more manageable. But even the end of the week was more crowded than we were used to (we usually go in mid-August).

Hope this helps!

We have been going in February for many years. It gets crowded but it's not awful. It helps to get there early and to use fast pass. Since you have small children, if you plan on doing Dumbo, do that FIRST!! That is the ride we have had to wait the longest for on any of our trips. MK and MGM "feel more crowded" than the other two so if you can do those a few days before the actual President Week begins, that would be helpful. The parks will clear a little after dinnertime so a mid afternoon break at your hotel might allow you to return later. I love the parks at night. This year , the Daytona 500 was going on the first weekend we were there so we hit MK and MGM on Sat and Sun before the Daytona crowds came. It was great!

I went President's Week this year and found that after the holiday it really thinned out. It was really nice...never overly crowded anywhere w/ the exception of MGM on their silly sports weekend (sorry, not a big sports fan). :) Yeah...I didn't think it was crowded in the first place, adn it thinned out a lot after the initial weekend. :)
