Beginning of May temperature

We normally go in October.

For our next trip we are choosing late April/early May - mainly because we are tired of being there during Halloween Party season and we want to see Flower/Garden. Also, last October we were there during a cold snap and it really put a damper on our trip! Downright cold at night, no pool time. Didn't like it.

Also chose May because the chances of being hot far outweigh the chances of being cold again! :)

I was there the first week of May this past year for Flower and Garden. Two days were incredibly hot, but the rest were beautiful - low humidity made even the scorching days more bearable than mid-summer.

We went in late May 2016 and it was very hot... people in the parks were very cranky..... It did cool off a bit later in our vacation but the first half of our vacation was unpleasantly hot --- great if you're lying on a beach --- not so great if you walking miles through a theme park --- sitting in ride seats that are sweaty... etc....

We're going in March this year since we find the hot/humid weather not as pleasant --- figure we can deal with the spring break crowds but when it's really hot it makes it tough to do all the stuff we want to (while staying in good spirits). Figure it may get cooler at night in March but it's easy to add an extra sweatshirt on those cold nights....

The possibility of heat is what scares me about the first week of May. That's when we're going this year, after several years of going in October instead. When we went before, sometimes it was OK, but sometimes it was way too hot for me, which is why we switched trip times. But I missed the F&G Festival so we'll try it again and hope it's not too hot.

I've only been to Disney in June, October, December, January and February.

How bad is the heat in early May? I was so miserable in June, I'm hoping May won't be quite so bad.

Thanks!

Honestly? It can be as bad as June - in fact, we like to go in April, but it too, can be hot and humid. The severity depends on 'that' year as things vary somewhat from year to year. We've gone in May more than once - so, I'd say, not as brutal as summer, but very hot and humid.

Not sure where people are getting the 'low' humidity levels from. I'm a deep south girl and low humidity hasn't seemed to be in the picture - would be very nice though!! :)

I have been several times and always had temperatures in the low 90s, but with less rain overall than the summer.
