Were headed to the Fort Sept 22 for 8 days of NOTrest and NOTrelaxation but im getting worried we may not have the parks all to ourselves! I have been trying for 4 weeks now to get my dinning plans arranged and it seems there is hardly anything available , even for lunch . This is the week after free dinning so im curious as to why all the restraunts are full . We usually go in October and dont have these issues and I thought Sept would be no busier but it looks like I could be wrong. Oh well we can always eat at Trails End for 6 days :thumbsup2

I think that since the Dining Plan, even if it's not free, is still such a fantastic deal, that most people who buy a package are including Dining. So, the restaurants are always full now. It's only $39 per day (adults). It's very hard to eat for under $39/day (unless you're camping) at Disney.

Even the Trail's End has been very busy! I've made lots of reservations there for my clients who are on the DP!

But, if you're willing to eat at "off" times, you shouldn't have any problems. :)

See, here's the deal. :)
In order to qualify for Free Dining, you have to check in to your resort no later than (I think the date was...) 9/22. Then you get the Plan for your entire length of stay, even though the plan is technically over. This is how *my* family worked our ressies. We are checking in on 9/20, staying till 9/29. We wanted to be sure to catch at least one day of F&W Fest, which starts 9/28. I am sure a lot of people did this... finagled around with their ressies so they could qualify for Free Dining and still catch a little bit of Food and Wine Fest.. so the parks will be rather full for that last week of September. Plus, you also have those who are not doing Free Dining, but have come to catch F&W - that is always a huge crowd-drawer.
In short, because I am one of the masses making it hard for you to get ADRs, my apologies! :sad2: Hope it works out for you. I have seen lots of posts saying try to get some ADRs for some of the resort restaurants... apparently they don't fill up so fast?

Ahhh that would make sense . And dont be silly about makeing it hard .Everyone has to eat right?
And another thing that may be making it a bit more crowded than usual is the exchange rate for the dollar to our friends across the pond . Theyd be crazy not to take advantage of such good deals to travel over here . I mean who wants to go to France to go to Disney anyways ? :)
