Okay - some of you know that my computer "died". I just took it to the hospital (Best Buy) and it was fatal!!!! Diagnosis - hard drive went belly up!! Yikes.............

Before I found all you very supportive WISHers I would have been eating (anything and everything) to "relieve the stress" of this news. But, since I have found you , I am just enjoying a cup of peach herbal tea!

Yeah, I am trying not to think about what is lost (lots of digital pix, cards I've made, budget files, etc, etc, etc) but focusing on the fact that YES we bought an extended warranty and it will be replaced at no cost! Wonderful news and such insight we had to buy that extra!

Now, if I would have just followed the wise words I share with others "back up your important stuff". Let me repeat "back up your important stuff" Okay, I am sure you got my message.

Good for you!! I love Peach tea myself and now that you said that, I think I will go make some!! :):)

Sorry about the loss of your hard drive though, that does stink!

Good for you for not turning to food to relieve the stress, I'm thankful for you that you did buy that warranty, even though it won't bring back what you had on file.

Thanks for the wonderful reminder. I haven't done a back up and I truly need to (that will happen tomorrow, so lets hope nothing happens tonight). I have accumulated some wonderful information on this hard drive and if it all went away, I would turn belly up and cry.

Hope you get your friend back soon.

Peach herbal tea instead of a pig-out...you ROCK! There are many of us here who are prone to eat under stress, and it is a huge accomplishment when we start to make positive strides in this area, and that is exactly what you did! Way to go on your decision, but still a bummer about the dead computer!

Well, bebr, listen to you. Your determination and motivation are shining through your words. I'm so proud of you!

Good thing you have that warranty. But bad, bad bebr! I can't believe that you hadn't at least burned those digital photos to a cd. I hope there weren't lots of photos of your grandbabies lost.

Good for you for not letting the food and emotions control you, you are controlling them!!! That is wonderful!

Well done for your self control and thanks for the reminder about backing up, it's something I've got very bad about!

Sorry about your computer and files, but it's great that you had the willpower to not let food control you, but you control the food.

Best wishes and encouragement, Ray:)

Bev, I am SOOOOOOOOOOO proud of you!!!!!!!!!!

YOU are the one handling this situation - YOU are the one in control! WISH is a great support group and it just helped you to recognize that you can rely on yourself, that you can trust yourself to know that all is well and that eating doesn't solve a problem or make life any easier to cope with.

CONGRATULATIONS on reaching this realization! You are doing a great job! You are very focused and you are a wonderful loser as a result! I am really super duper proud of you!

Boy can I relate with that...we just replaced my hard drive and I also lost everything but my pics are always saved on a CD or on a website so I had no problem with that.
I was lucky that my computer is still under warranty and the new hard drive cost me nothing.
Under stress , I'm one of those people who just cannot eat a bite, I get this lump in my stomach that makes me physically sick and I can't eat.
Good for you for sticking up to your tea and not junk food, that takes a lot of will power.

Good for you. I know exactly where you are coming from. I'm a stress eater too.

Raspberry Tea is wonderful too....and if it ever gets to be warmer here, I'll even make it iced.
