Bees, Bees, everywhere!!!

We have the worst problem with bees at my house. So far we have destroyed 3 bees hives, but the 4th one is giving us a terrible problem.

This particular area is directly under my front door. We feel that they have made their hive in the porch and it is very difficult to destroy. DH has tryed all types of products and nothing seems to be working.

It is becoming very frustrating because nobody can use our front door and we can't even have it open for fresh air because the bees manage to crawl underneath and get into the house. It's like a Alfred Hitchcock movie around here and I would appreciate it if anybody has any suggestions on what we should do. I know an exterminator is probably the best suggestion - but we are trying to do this ourselves first.

We use to use a spray called CRC wasp killer (I think). My husbands business use to sell this and it kills the suckers on contact, no running for cover! I will check w/ him when he comes in from doing farm work later. We would still use it but the purchasing agent at the family biz decided not to carry it anymore. Don't know why, it is the BEST stuff I have ever seen. We use it w/ the kids around and never worried about the wasps betting away to sting us. Once you get rid of the bees, get rid of the nest too. Then a natural control would be to have some spiders around. Maybe you could put a portable light out for a few nights to attract moths, which should in turn attract spiders then any bees would get caught in the webs.

Good Luck. Personally I would have pest control out to deal with it. $20-$50 and it'll be gone and if they try and rebuild the pest control service will keep coming back until they are gone completely. Course I'm very allergic to bees so I just don't mess with stuff like that.
