beers of the world (showcase)

Lowenbrau is no longer available in the US. And I think someone mentioned this but you can only get Franziskaner and Optimator in the Biergarten unfortunately.

Back in May at the Germany carts they had Beck's and Warsteiner (and maybe Spaten O'fest at Sommerfest, not sure) .

The Unibroue beers at Canada are only available at Cellier years ago they used to sell them outside.

The best deal is the Sam Adams - for some reason they are cheaper than Becks etc - at only $6.25 this is a Disney bargain.

No problem! I always enjoy discussing Beers Around the World with other club members! And yes, the American Pavilion needs to step up when it comes to their beer offerings. They're not exactly helping the perception (read: misconception) of the quality of beer in America!
so true. Of course in all fairness, much of the country does have some pretty poor selections.

I argued with the bartender at Yak & Yeti who said this was unique to WDW but I have heard in the past it is nothing more than Michelob Amber Bock renamed.

that is a deal for the WS. More than that and I might as well have a cocktail!

Yuengling would be more at home in Germany then China, since it's German ancestry in Pottsville, Pa. But yea why not have it in the American Pavilian. I live in NJ and thats all I drink. WDW kills me on the price but glad they serve it. I've paid $5.50 = tax a bottle at WDW, and buy a case locally for as low as $14.99 = tax.

BTW nice to meet another beer enthusiast. Can't wait till Food & Wine I'll be there for the first weekend on a 15 year annivesary trip. We got married in Oct and honeymooned at WDW. So we sort of stumbled across the first F&W in 1995 I think we may have only missed 2 years at the F&W event. So I usually am drinking beer, wine & saki around the world and consuming plenty of tastey foods.

Bud Light in Morocco? Stella Artois in UK?

I wish that Ringnes would have bought Carlsberg. Carlsberg is not a good beer IMO.

ETA, I see that UK still has Tennents. I overlooked that at first.

I'm not all that enthused about this list. I would go to UK or Germany I guess. Sam Adams is OK.

I just love that good old American Sam Adams

If nothing else, it is quite appropriate to have at the Pavilion

Having it in China makes no sense whatsoever.

I don't mind Bohemia or the XX Amber, those are nice additions at the Cava.

A little OT but do any of you know if they serve Blue Moon anywhere?

Thanks for putting together these maps! Hubby and I are headed there next Friday and I want to try a few different adult beverages. It is our 10th anniversary and we are going without children :-)

See, I'm going WITH children (4 of them) and in laws. Hence the need for the map. :lmao:

Thanks and enjoy!

I've never seen it in the parks......... Maybe at ESPN though

I think I've seen Shock Top on tap at the Crew's Cup and another resort lounge? Shock Top is just Anheuser/InBev's Blue Moon clone (which is a Coors product), right down to telling the bartenders to serve with an orange slice.

The UK no longer has Tennents. They also stopped Hoegaarden.
