Any beer experts out there? My boyfriend is excited about "drinking around the world" in WS, and wanted to know if some of his favorite hard-to-finds might be there. Is there any sort of list or resource I could access to find out? Here are some that he's asking about:

Magners- a hard cider
Carlings- Scottish or English, not sure
Bell Havens Best- Think Scottish or English, too
Kronenberg 1664- France.

Thanks for any help with this!

Beer around the world is fun and I have done it before. Did a complete tour two years ago and a partial tour this year over Thanksgiving. I think he may be disappointed because they only serve one or two beers in each country and I do not remember any of the ones you mentioned. The only suggestion I would have is go to Allears and look on the menu section for the resturants in the WC they will probably list the types of beer available.

You can get the Kronenburg in France, but I think that's the only one on the list (and this is from a veteran of many Laps around the world).

Some of our favorites are Kirin in Japan, Casablanca in Morrocco, Harp in UK and LaBatts in Canada although we sample at all the countries. Mexico is always a toss up. Dos Equis is good, but the Margaritia's are better.

Norway used to have Ringnes which was our favorite of all, but Carlsburg bought out Ringnes and no longer exports it, so now you get Carlsburg in Norway. Not bad, just not Ringnes.

Thanks for the responses- I'm sure he'll find something he likes, either way. The one he really hoped for was Kronenburg, so it's good to hear that's available at least. We're both really looking forward to drinking around the world :earsboy: I'm excited for the margaritas- my personal favorite :teeth:

The new Irish pub at DTD has Magner's, but the pub at Epcot has Strongbow which I think is a better cider.

The French one is available at France, yes, but I don't believe I've seen the other two in Disney. Are there any others he's been asking about?

Le Cellier may still have the brews from Unibroue, but we haven't been in a few months so I'm not sure.

Epcot tends to be your best bet for finding different beers, but the beer selection at Disney in general tends to be pretty average.
