Beer

If anyone going to F/W fest. You have to try the Sam Adams Fest beer. They brew is just for the Fest and you can only get it during F/W! Its amazing. I had Sam Adams Oktoberfest all weekend....

Yep, Sam Adams Fest beer was quite a surprise. While Sam Adams makes steady, solid brews, I've never been floored by any of the varieties. The F&W Fest brew (especially the '07) broke the mold! They didn't list the style, but I thought it was a Dunkle-Weiss or Weizenbock. Sure enough, when Sam Adams released thier Longshot brewing six-pack, it included a home brewed Weizenbock that tasted VERY similar to the Fest brew. I think Sam Adams tweaked thier recipe in '07 to that of the submitted Longshot Weizenbock brew. Either way, it was an exceptional beer. Sam Adam's Irish Red and Scotch Ale can hold thier own as well.

Oktoberfest season is my favorite time of year! I love German Marzens, and they just started hitting the shelves over the past couple weeks. I already picked up a case Spaten and Victory's Oktober.

One thing we did last year was beers around the world. My boyfriend and I will be recreating that adventure again in 5 days. We start in Canada and have one beverage from each country until we finish with Mexico. The only time we are allowed a domestic brew is at the America pavilion. It was a lot of fun. And I say beverage because some of my choices were not beer and didn't contain alcohol. As long as it was a drink specific to that country it counted.

It was a lot of fun. We would get our drink and then sit some where in the country and just people watch. Sitting here I can just taste the LaBatt's Blue!
;)

Ive had a few different types beer at the Rose & Crown

Im looking forward to more Moosehead in Canada while watching/dancing to Off Kilter- I'll be at all the OK shows 9/16-9/23 - in btwn their sets we go to British Invasion. Nice little corner there, best spot in all of WDW!

8 more days
