Can I use the same beer token from a cruise a few years ago? Do they change or do we need to buy a new one?

You should be able to use the same token. Note that some of the ships now also have bottled/canned beer packages that give you a discount on actually drinkable beer compared to getting more of the crappy beer you get with the mug/token. I took my token on the last cruise but never purchased a draft beer-like substance.

What else can you use it for? I see that some of the bars have cider. Can you use it for that?

We have used our token on multiple cruises. After the first cruise we chose not to turn it in for the mug and just kept it in a safe place for a year until out next cruise.

You can use it for anything they have on tap and if you don't see what you like ask, I was in the late night bar on the Dream and they had no taps but they had Stella somewhere in the back. I have been on 3 cruises and they have not changed it on any of those.

Since my first Disney cruise is in 20 days.....what is a beer token? First I have heard it mentioned.

If you purchase the beer mug program, which gets you a larger beer for the same price as a standard draft, you can ask the bartender to give you a "token"--really a card of some kind--in exchange for an empty mug. That way you're not lugging the heavy glass mug around all the time and it's also very convenient to take with you when you leave the ship. Next cruise, just bring the token back with you and start all over again!

It's an good deal. It will be of more value now that you can only bring on 6 beers

Doe sit need to be purchased before the cruise or can it be purchased during? If the latter, is it from the bars, or in one of the shops?

You buy it at any of the bars. Just ask for the beer mug deal. I think there's even a sign about it on the first day or so at the bars.

I'm considering beer mugs for DH and/or me, can anyone tell me if I can get it filled with Corona or cider on the Magic WBTA? TIA! You guys are awesome!!

We were just on the Dream this past weekend and the bartender would fill up my mug with any beverage short of pure hard booze. Granted I tipped him pretty well the first fill up and kept going back to the same guy. But it worked great!

I think there is Strongbow in OGills on the Magic but I don't think the ships have corona on tap in any of the bars. Hopefully someone will confirm before our cruise :D

What is wrong with the draft beer? Is it that you don't particularly like draft or is it somehow bad? I know several people that do not like draft but I don't really have any issues with it. I ordered the mug so I hope it was not a bad purchase.

Probably referring to the incredibly weak draft selection on the boats.

Yes, this. The draft selection at most bars and restaurants is basically limited to assorted macro adjunct lagers plus the occasional Heineken or Stella, which are barely a step up. O'Gill's and the other Irish/sports bars may have one or two other selections but it's not always convenient to trudge all the way to one of those for something different even if they're open.

On our recent Fantasy cruise, by contrast, they had a beer package offer where you pay for 20 bottles or cans of your choice and you get four free. You can even mix and match. The selection included all of the U.S. and European macros available on draft, but also selections from Cigar City (Tampa), Bell's (Kalamazoo, MI), Blue Moon (meh), Sierra Nevada and others.

As long as they have Coors light I'll be good. I love beers like Guinness, Sam Adams and Falls City but I'll be on vacation and need to pace myself with the lower ABV beers so I don't pass out at noon.

Is there someplace I can see what is on tap at all the places on the Wonder? I've recently become a lover of ciders and I see some mention of Strongbow, so I'm wanting to see if it'll be an option on my cruise. Also, what is the price of the beer mug/token program? I'll be on a 7-day in December.
