DH and are traveling on our first DCL next month, Wonder - 3/2 - Miami. Has anyone done this cruise recently and do you know what beers they have on tap? Any Boston Lager do you know? I just got off phone with DCL and they just weren't sure. DH is interested in purchasing the Beer Package but only if they have craft beers - also does anyone by chance know what the price of the different tap beers is (16oz vs 22oz)?
Any info appreciated!

I could be wrong but I think you can only buy a 16oz beer. If you have the beer mug, then you get a 22oz beer for the cost of a 16oz beer. Can't answer the beer choice part of your question.

PP is correct that all drafts for purchase are 16 oz. and with the mug you get a 22 oz. pour for the same price. The draft beer selection is terrible if you are a craft beer drinker, however, as about the most exotic options at most bars will be Heineken or Michelob Amber Bock. You can find one Widmer option at a few bars and sometimes one or two Kona choices, but that is hit or miss in my experience. The Dream has one specialty draft in one of the bars that is custom-brewed for DCL by CraftWorks; the same company that runs Big River Grille, Rock Bottom and Gordon-Biersch.

There were many more options available in bottles and cans on our last Fantasy cruise, including selections from Bell's and Cigar City, and they offered a package where you paid for 20 beers and got four free. You could mix different six packs, and they were delivered to your room. You could keep the cans and bottles cold in your fridge or take a warm can or bottle to any bar that had that particular beer and exchange it for a cold one. I chose that option although I do have an old mug/token that I used on occasion. Not sure if they have those options on the Wonder, however, as it has been a while since I was on her.

Thanks for the info all. DH has been bitten by the craft beer bug and pretty much only drinks craft beers including his own brews....we even have hops growing in the garden He wound up calling DCL and they confirmed what you are saying but added one piece of info that was good. He can purchase that package after boarding - when reading about it on DCL site it indicated the purchase needed to be made prior to boarding (similar to a dining plan). Thanks for the info and Bon Voyage!

Yes, you can purchase the mug on the ship. They will have a table set up - probably in the Promenade Lounge where you can purchase. Also note that you can turn the mug in after each use and get a token to carry around (much lighter). Turn the token in next time you want a beer and it will be served in the mug. Take the token home at the end of the cruise and bring it back next time.

Princess Tess... Now that you cruised (hope you enjoyed yourselves) can you and your husband expand the list of beers on tap? We sale on the wonder in a week and have the same question. Did your husband decide the DCL mug was worth it for the beer selection?

We did get the beer mug package and we did find it to be worth it. I'm trying to remember what beers they had...LOL I believe they must've had Sam Adams because I used the mug quite a bit (we shared it) and I'm a picky drinker.
At the time I posted this we didn't realize that you could decide on the pkg after you were onboard - I had misinterpreted something I had read thinking we needed to decide beforehand.
We had a great time! I was a reluctant cruiser but booked it as a surprised for hubby's 60th Bday.

Wow! I really appreciate the beef info! I'd also love to hear a list of craft drafts onboard the Fantasy.

I am also interested in anyone who has had craft bottles/cans or from bars recently on Fantasy. Thanks !!

Cigar City Invasion
Cigar City Jai Alai
Cigar City Florida Cracker
St. Stefanus Grand Cru
Edit: They have Bell's as well, but I don't drink Bell's since I loathe Larry Bell's litigious attitude. Probably Oberon and Two-Hearted.

This is all I've found on the Fantasy when it comes to craft beer. I'm unsure if they have other Brouwerij Van Steenberge beers since they have St. Stefanus. I've not seen any.
