We have had a few beers away from our campsite during previous trips. A small cooler on the golf cart, on the beach or at the pool. What are the rules and do they enforce them?
a cooler on the golfcart is okay, but no open containers! It's a Florida law & I have seen this one enforced. It also goes without saying, but no drinking & driving.
I usually just drank from the can with a koozie or use the red solo cup pretty much everywhere at the fort, the beach, the pool, etc. (except for while riding/driving the golf cart of course). If you do take beverages with you, please don't use glass bottles/containers.
Ok guys, thanks a bunch. I won't worry about it any more. Back in Dec. 2008, My son-in -law and i drove the cart down to the beach about midnight one night. We took a small cooler out on the beach and chilled in the lounge chairs for an hour. I enjoyed it but I was a little paranoid about security. I just didn't know. I will try to avoid the open container on the cart.
I asked the bartender at crocketts tavern and was told no rule that's why they have a pass through window. I also asked a lifeguard at the pool. No glass containers on deck and all beverages 10 feet from water.
Also another fun fact. No drinks on the little transport boats and drinks are allowed on the big ones just no alcoholic beverages
Disney is private property so beer on the beach is fine. No drinking and driving a golf cart-FL law. Beer container by the pool need to be in plastic bottles/containers. No need to hide
I don't use RED solo cup i have found that people look at you funny. One morning i was walking around the loop drinking OJ out of a red cup people keep saying it 5 aclock somewhere and looking at me funny. So now i drink from blue or yellow solo cup and don't have that problem anymore

I have found that a Nalgene bottle with Neoprene sleeve works well for all occasions (morning OJ, noon iced tea, afternoon cocktail and/or beer, etc.) as well. Plus they are Made in the USA and BPA free. Check'em out.
