Another that can testify to the fact that Gardengrocer delivers beer.
There was a maybe "hurricane" heading our way and we called for more beer, I mean supplies. LOL No hurricane - but we had a good time waiting for it.
Or if worse comes to worse - and you are BWV - wheel a piece of luggage down to the Hess Station and wheel some back. LOL

We have used wegoshop.com 5 times for grocery deliveries and we have always included beer and wine. Their setup differes from Garden Grocer. You do not pick from a list, but rather create your own list with items, and sizes. We have just entered the type and amount that we needed.
We also order soda, juice, coffee, water, snacks etc and we have saved the cost of the delivery fee over buying at the Disney stores.
I highly recommend wegoshop.com
Have a Great Trip.
We will want beer, possibly wine & some Captain Morgan.

How much of a pain would it be to take a bus to BWV, walk to Hess, get beer and wine and get back to OKW?Another that can testify to the fact that Gardengrocer delivers beer.

Were you there to receive it or did they leave it with Bell Services? I am seriously considering a delivery service for our next 2 trips but don't want to have to wait around for the delivery. Would you suggest telling them your arrival time is a little earlier than what it really is so that the stuff is there waiting for you when you get there? For example our flight for our next trip is scheduled to land just before 5:00. It's been our experience that DME will take approx. 2 hours to get to the resort...so 7:00ish...would you ask for your delivery to be around 6:00 or 6:30?? How does that work??We will want beer, possibly wine & some Captain Morgan.

I checked out the garden grocer web site but it did not list any beer or wine for purchase. Am I missing something.
Thanks

There is a Hess across from DTD. DH went there when we stayed at SSR once. He took the bus to DTD & walked across & there is a crossing light. He brought a rolling collapsable cooler which made it a lot easier. He said he ran into about 3 people doing the exact same thing. We also took a cab last time to Winn Dixie & it was only $10 each way.
For that $20 in cab fare gg will deliver to bell services for you!
Might've just been an odd occurance, but DH was so mad he said we would never let bell services handle our groceries again.Yes but I have a Winn Dixie discount card so I save there too & I can look for what's on sale. I'm a control freak & I like to check out what's available for hot foods, I'm picky about my fruit & I need to persuse the wine section (don't always know what's available). They have really cute souveniers too & I save a ton buying souveniers there & not WDW.
Plus we had grocery shopped before we got to WDW once (big mistake) & bell services at SSR had to hold our groceries for us & when they were delivered, we didn't get all the bags & had to call again & after a long wait (saying they couldn't find them & then they did) we got some more of our groceries, but for some reasons all our beer & wine coolers were taking out of their packs & some were missing.Might've just been an odd occurance, but DH was so mad he said we would never let bell services handle our groceries again.
Ah point taken! I didn't realize you did more that just buy beer. I'm tempted to rent a car for a day on a trip and do some shoping and hit an outlet place etc. We only stay on site an never have a car, so I would mind cruising around to see stuff offsite. When you took a cab did you have it wait for you or did you just flag down another when you were done shoping?

We had missing stuff once - at BWV - when we moved from WL. It was the conceirge at WL that screwed up. I went into the luggage area with the bell services employees and found what I was missing. Sometimes grocery bags tip over and spill out, things break. I doubt anyone would jeopardize their job by stealing a couple of beers.
