Which grocery delivery services will deliver beer and wine? Will Wal-Mart?

Walmart does not. You can add it to your cart, but when you go to checkout and schedule your delivery it tells you that you either have to change to pick up or remove the items.

This was in December when we went.

We have had it delivered by Garden Grocer and Publix Instacart. Instacart requires in person delivery with ID of person on order.

I saw that Amazon Prime Now now offers it. Looking forward to trying it later this month. Instacart will also deliver from places such as ABC liquor.

There is a grocery delivery FAQ over on the regular Resorts forum, which has great information about all the available services.

We had to meet the delivery and present ID when using Instacart and Amazon Prime Now.

Thanks. I figured as much, as it would be way too easy to have minors order it and then just overtip bell services to keep them hush hush. Just planning out my trip 3 weeks from now.

We had alcohol delivered at BWV by amazon Prime last October. Bell services called us when the courier arrived. We were told we should have gone to talk to bell services in advance, show them our ID. We were at a park but they did accept the order for us. Amazon substituted the beer with something we did not like, twice. Not going that direction for beer in the future.

One plus to Instacart- while your shopper is shopping they can notify you through the app and check that any substitutions are good, or change items. They can even add items if you realize you forgot something. For instance they didn’t have raisin bagels and she asked if everything bagels were okay. I responded “yes but then I need cream cheese if that’s okay” (kids were going to have pb on raisin bagels- doesn’t work so well with everything bagels). She added cream cheese, and cancelled a few other items as well.

I know some guests have had other luck, and some guests have had their order go back with the delivery person or the alcohol removed, so I always plan to meet the delivery person because that is the policy and they can enforce it.

I agree. We tried to meet the courier for the first delivery last October. I inducated that I would meet the courier in the comments section of the order online. She was late-came 2 and a half hours after the end of the delivery window 8-10 pm. So I went down to the BWV lobby at 8 and waited until 12:30 am. Then she delivered to bell services anyway. At that location they deliver outside and with all the Uber’s I never could locate her. I will never schedule a delivery for Saturday night 8-10 pm again but I didn’t expect this and we arrived late Saturday afternoon. The courier didn’t call me, I called her but since she could not speak English we could not communicate. I just watched her on the online ap. She seemed to be stuck in the same location for more than 1 hour twice. I was told by amazon that the couriers are not supposed to talk in the phone while driving but she tried to answer. I have no idea why they display the courier’s cell phone number if you aren’t supposed to call them. I think it’s a work in progress to say the least.

I used an app called Drizzly this past December at The Boardwalk. Worked great they were there within an hour.
Will defiantly use again!

Yikes! I got exactly what I ordered. I wonder if there is a way to mark no substitutes.

Garden Grocer delivers beer and wine with no need to be present. Scan and attach photo ID (driver's lic) with your order and they drop it with Bell Services.

We had wine and beer delivered (along with some food) through Amazon Prime Now, and we were not present for our delivery as our flight was delayed. The Amazon courier delivered to BWV bell services where they held it until we arrived. I inquired about the delivery when we checked in, and they brought it up to our room shortly after. It was easy and I'd definitely use their services again.

I think you are charged if you have items delivered through regular Amazon or Amazon Prime. To the best of my knowledge, Disney does not charge you to have Amazon Prime Now deliver; however, if it is delivered to Bell Services I would tip them.
