I live in Los Angeles. I haven't been to Disneyland since 1989 when my brother got married. :confused3 (He just celebrated his 17 anniversary last month.)

August 2007 I'm finally going to WDW for a gospel music convention (The Gospel Music Workshop of America's 40th Anniversary) My room is booked at the Coronado Spring Resort. Will add dining package later. (I personally wanted Pop Century. But there was so much confusion regarding transportation between resorts.)

I'm planning to arrive on Thurs. 8-9-07 and go to the Chip n Dale Moviefest. Has anyone been this summer? What were the movies?

On Fri. 8-10-07 go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast then on to the MAGIC KINGDOM all day.

Sat. 8-11-02 EPOT with dinner at Rose & Crown. (I hear the view is great for Illuminations.)

Sun. 8-12-07 Will be in worship service until 2 or 3 pm. Planning a late lunch/early dinner at 1900 Park Faire.

Mon. 8-13-07 ANIMAL KINGDOM will pick up a sandwich before heading to seminar.

Tues. 8-14-07 DISNEY-MGM STUDIOS lunch or dinner at Primetime 50's or Sci-Fi Diner.

Wed. 8-15 & Thur. 8-16-07 Unsure of park activities. (Will dine at Boatwright's-Liberty Tree Tavern-Fulton's Crabhouse sometime this week.)

Fri. 8-17-07 NO PARKS ALL DAY!!!! (Mass Choir will do our recording 9am to 4pm.) will pick up a sandwich before heading to final night of convention where my choir from Los Angeles sings.

Sat. 8-18-07 Will hit up MAGIC KINGDOM .

Sun. 8-19-07 Return to the crazy people :rolleyes1 (I work as directory assistance operator. My co-workers are just as strange as my customers.

Here's my problem. Should I purchase a 7 day park-hopper or 7 one day tickets through a ticket broker or at the Disney store? Any other help would be appreciated.

Welcome to DisBoards.

In answer to your specific question I would suggest buying a ten day hopper with a (current) advance purchase price of $257.73. Compare this with the cost of a one-day, one-park ticket of $67.10. (Note both prices include tax.)

There is no confusion about travel between resorts. It is just extremely difficult. With few exceptions (and Coronado Springs is not one of them) buses do not travel from one resort to another. To get between resorts you would have to take transportation to a Park or Downtown Disney and then catch a bus to the other resort.

You may not want to convert your reservation to a package. I am going to a convention at CSR next month and the discounted rate is almost 50% off rack. (I work at WDW and the five night difference, including tax, at the convention rate is less than $4 more than if I had reserved at the Cast Members 50% discount.) If you have the dining plan you will have to pay full rack rate for your room; the difference will be substantial. Also you may have some meals included with your convention.

In addition, keep an eye on your Association's web site. Normally Disney will provide specially priced tickets to people who attend conventions held at WDW. These have to be ordered directly and again cannot be part of a package. Also, they tend to be at a lower price than charged by the outside discounters.

You might then want to post additional, more specific, questions in the of the other forums.

Thanks Cheshire Figment for the info. To often my Association waits to late for my budget needs. (For this years convention in Dallas,Tx they released hotel info in March. All the rooms went in less than 1 week. I booked way back in September for 50% less than at main site. Hyatt is 4 blks from convention center, I'm 1 1/2 blks away.)

If WDW offers a lower rate that's why I booked a room only for now. So for the tickets-you say buy now for next year? Thats cool :cool1:

With the left over days can I use at Disneyland?

Will the gospel groups be performing at WDW for the public? I would LOVE to experience that!!!

Yes! Gospel choirs & solo artists from all over the US and international choirs. Singing and worshipping God. All are of different faiths as well as races. (There's a group from Japan. They spoke a little english, but they sing so beautiful!)Yolanda Adams, John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, Mississippi Mass Choir & many, many others. The evening concerts are open to the public, however there will be a charge.

BTW, again my convention is the Gospel Music Workshop of America founded by the late Rev. James Cleveland. (If you've heard his music, then you know what to expect. Hope to see you there!!
