Bedwetting at Disney Hotels

My kids sometimes have overnight accidents. At home, of course, no big deal, I just do an extra load of laundry, the mattresses are protected.

Should I take something down there (a plastic tablecloth or something) to protect the mattress on vacation??

I assume the hotel (Poly) will change the sheets. I guess I'll have to call the front desk for this?

Kids have been out of pullups for some time and I'm unwilling to ask them to go back...it would be humiliating.

Thanks

I'd take a plastic mattress protector. If the mattresses get wet just changing the sheets won't help.

Were heading down in a rew days and I had the same concern I bought a shower curtain form the dollar store to put under the sheets Im actually going to ask for an extra set when we check in so I can change them during the night if need be!

There was actually a pretty long, amusing thread on this subject a while ago.

Just ask for an extra set of sheets/blankets to keep in the closet. The hotels are "used" to bed wetting. However, it may take them an hour or two to respond in the middle of the night.

I wouldn't put them back in pull up at this point. Our dd had been night trained for some time now. But, there is always the chance that she might "forget" to wake up cause she's overtired or in a new environment.

Depending on where and how long you are staying - something to consider if you put anything on a Disney bed... They might mistake it for thier usual stuff and strip it when mousekeeping comes through. You might think about requesting to leave the beds alone, and put your dirty linens out for pick up and make your own beds. I have an allergic reaction to something in their detergent and do this every trip. I've found them very accommodating about this.

We also use the shower curtain from the dollar store...works great at disney.....

Housekeeping will provide a plastic mattress protector pad if you call. They will even provide an extra mattress pad and an extra set of sheets in case of an accident in the middle of the night.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll try the dollar store shower curtain but also request a complete change to keep in the room once we get there. Also, I'll plan to make an 11:00 pit stop with my child, who will sleep through the entire event!! It's amazing how conked out they can get & at Disney I expect it'll be that much worse!
