hello!!!!!

me and hubby have been to DLP twice, and we now have a gorgeous son who we are taking just before his 2nd birthday in march 2013. (very excited). my only worry is what do we do about milk at bedtime if he still wants it? he has fresh cows milk now. mornings wont be a problem, as he'll drink some with his breakfast, but im a bit stuck about bedtime!!!!

has anybody experienced this before??

help much appreciated!

Yes I was the same last summer, and again this year. My son also drinks about 2 bottles during the night too.
I just took the cow and gate growing up milk ( powder ) and just made some with cooled boiled water from the kettle. He didn't even notice the difference as he was so tired.
I know there is shop near Disney where you can buy milk, but since there's no fridge, there's no way of keeping it fresh till the next night unless you go buy it every day.

But if anyone else knows if the hotels supply cows milk for toddlers at bed time, I would also like to know.

Just had a random idea, if your staying in a hotel that has room service, you can always order a glass of milk from them at bedtime lol ohh maybe the bar would sell you a glass of milk each night?

Hello and welcome!

We like to have fresh milk for our DS which we bring with us initially and then buy more from either Auchan in Val d'Europe (who sell organic which we prefer) or in Magny le Hongre nearby. Up to now our solution for keeping it cool has been to bring a cool box and empty clip boxes from home which we fill with ice from the ice machines in the hotel. Doing this twice a day seems to work but is a bit of a bind so we have just bought a mini fridge which can plug into the car or the mains. We intend using it for the first time next month.

I know you can only buy UHT milk from the shop in the train station but I am not sure if the filling station by the Santa Fe has fresh as well as UHT.

Hope this helps :goodvibes

They sell the little cartons of uht milk in the hotel shops, I have bought them from DLH, new York and Cheyenne.

My DS had just turned 3 on our first trip and he was happy with that at bedtime, hink he thought it was a treat, out a carton with a straw.... He is nearly 5 and still has that milk every bedtime on our trips.

if you cant get it in the hotel maybe you could buy some from Mc donalds at the end of your day in the park?

I remember doing this one trip to blackpool when my little one needed milk to sleep at night, they usually have small bottles that they give when a child has a happy meal. only thing is i dont know if they do it in france?

here's a guide on where to get milk at DLP. From the lokks of it you've got a few options; the hotel shop, the shops in the station, the service station near the Santa Fe or going to the shopping centre at Val d'Europe

The only thing I'd warn you about is that my childrens didn't like the milk there - it tasted very different to what they were used to but it was a few years ago now so I can't remember why. Was it UHT or something, I wonder? They wouldn't drink it, anyway.

Yes in France its long life milk, which funnily I hate in the UK but it tastes better in France for me.

We have always needed milk for bedtimes to. We have either bought a carton from the hotel shop each night or asked at the hotel bar for a glass of milk to take to our room for the children. Sometimes in the hotel bars they havnt even charged us for it.

we stayed at the hotel new york last week and got free warm milk for our 2 year old from the bar each evening...just took his bottle asked at the bar and they filled it up for us :)

Hiya,

We've always filled bottles with milk at breakfast and kept then on ice in the ice bucket. All the children we've taken never have noticed the difference in taste.
