I’m itchy to redo my master bedroom. It’s currently Ralph Lauren Romance Pink and I LOVE it, but I’m wanting to do a dark blue, for a clean, glam, modern look. Then I realized the color I’m wanting is the color of the lobby at my business. I’m not sure I’m ready to feel like I’m sleeping in my lobby.

What color is your bedroom? Anyone care to share pics?

Mine's a buttercup yellow. I love it! Bright and cheerful. The attached bathroom is white and navy with yellow accents.

My bedroom is painted a tan color (I don't remember the name). The previous owners had horrible paint choices. Faux painted ceiling that is actually a beautiful trey ceiling. They painted the gorgeous crown molding black, the sitting room dark brown and the fireplace black. The rest of the bedroom was a green/grey. Spent a small fortune and many layers of paint. But the color I like the most now is Accessible Beige by SW. If I didn't spend so much painting my bedroom the first time, I'd change it to that.

My bedroom nook (downsized to a studio) is painted with a feature wall of metallic green with yellow undertones and the other walls thru out the public area a paler and more neutral shade of green. If you asked me some years back if my sleeping room would be green I’d of laughed out loud. However, at this point in my existence, I’ve found it works well with my secondary and tertiary colors to give the space a cohesive feel no matter where and what I’m doing.

Find what you love and go with it. Don’t worry about whether it’s in your workspace unless you don’t find it attractive which might be a deeper concern.

I like light and bright! This was our bedroom in our former house. I liked the color so much that I used it again in our new house. It's a light neutral gray, Nimbus by Benjamin Moore. I can have this light bedding in the spring/summer, and then change out for red and plaid bedding for the fall/winter.

Mine is Sherwin Williams lagoon. I love it. And it's surprisingly easy to find things that go with it, too.

I think the OP should choose colors they like and match the rest of their home. Not sure what is accomplished by asking us about our interior layout since everyone probably has different tastes in colors/styles/flooring/decor items. Wall paint is easily changed if you decide you don't like it. Other things like flooring tend to be around much longer and want to choose something that lasts.

I can't speak for the OP, but when we had the entire first floor of our home repainted last year, I asked for suggestions on various message boards or online groups I'm a apart of and it was the best thing I did. I knew I was still going to choose what *I* wanted, but I tend to have trouble moving out of my comfort zone when it comes to considering colors. When we first built the house I chose all light/pastel colors because I wanted the house to feel open and airy. Within a few months, I regretted nearly every single color I chose. We repainted a few rooms over the years, but I put up with the ugly colors for a *long* time. I didn't want to make that mistake again. I got lots of good ideas from looking at other peoples homes either in person or in pictures and chose very different colors this time. There are some that I never would have thought of choosing if I hadn't looked at other homes and seen those colors in similar spaces to my home. For example, I had my kitchen painted a deep purple/plum color last year. I never would have come up with that by looking at paint samples because I would have automatically said it was too dark and didn't belong in a kitchen. I saw this color (or a similar shade) in someone's kitchen with the same color cabinets and similar flooring as mine and thought it would work well in my kitchen. So I took the risk and I absolutely love it and have zero regrets. Even the painters commented that when they saw what color I chose for the kitchen they thought to themselves, "Ohhhhh, I don't think I would choose this for a kitchen. We'll be back to repaint this a different color in a few months." But once it was completed, they loved it and said they were adding it to their suggestion list for kitchens. Again, I never would have even thought of that color if I hadn't asked to see other people's homes.

Some of us need to see things "in real life" rather than just picking up a few paint samples and painting squares on the wall. And we need to see things that are way out of our comfort zone but end up "clicking" for us.

I had a navy bedroom (I love a nice, dark bedroom... it just feels cozy and seems to make for good sleeping). A few years ago, we repainted it to a dark red, with a mustard accent wall to set off our dark wood & metal sleigh bed headboard. I love it.

When we were picking the colors, and buying the paint, I realized they matched the Mickey sweatshirt I was wearing. LOL!

This was the color of my daughter's room before she left home, and I used it for my office after that. It's a great color.

Our son's room was a colonial blue -- I really liked that as well. Our whole house (just moved in July) is this greyish blue (or bluish grey?). I don't mind it, but it doesn't really make me look at the walls and smile. Part of it is that it's the walls AND the ceiling that are the same color.
