I do apologize if this has been asked before (I did a quick search but couldn't find my answer).

I have a friend who is renting points from us- staying at Boardwalk Sept 12-19.
She needs a bed rail for her toddler. Anyone know if we need to request it ahead of time for her or can she request it at check in?

I have never had a problem requesting bed rails at any WDW hotel. We always call housekeeping to request the rails once we are in the room.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards App please excuse any typos.

Yes, you may request bedrails. They are available on a first-come-first-served basis at the resort and cannot be reserved in advance thru Disney. There are outside services that will guarantee them though.

Over the years, we've never had a problem getting them right at the resort. I'd request them in advance and ask again at arrival.

I did not know that bed rails are available on a first-come-first-served basis. We have two rooms booked at Pop for Thanksgiving (arriving on the holiday) and we asked for bed rails for the handicapped person traveling with us. Is there really a chance that we will not get those ??? I have medical equipment being delivered already for some other needs but the bed will be fine so long as there are rails (perhaps bed rails for a child are different than for an adult.)
Sorry to highjack the thread ...
Thanks

We have been able to add the request to our ressies. If they ate not in the room we just call house keeping and they are delivered. Last month they delivered 2 but we only needed on. They seem to be standard size. They cover a good length of the bed and are extremely high. They would certainly work for an adult.,
