My apologies if this has been asked a bunch of times before. What size are the beds at the Art of Animation and All Star Movies resorts? Do they have rooms with 2 queens that aren't pull outs? I'm planning an adults only trip with my adult children so we really need regular queen size beds. I'm hoping either of these will have queens because I'm going to be paying for 2 rooms and the value resorts fit my budget better than the moderates. Thank you!

They're currently refurbishing All Star Movies with queen beds, but one is a pull down Murphy bed like what the now have at Pop Century.

If you want two 'real' queen beds, then you will have to stay at a moderate in WDW. Sorry. Queen beds at values are in one bed/murphy bed configuration. The Swan might be another option, depending upon discounts available. However, the price is like a moderate to smaller deluxe (AKL/WL) rather than the value price range.

Thank you. Are the Murphy beds queen size and are the mattresses as comfortable as the queen?
Can’t speak from experience but what I’ve seen on the board for pop century is that the matresses on the Murphy beds are identical to the mattress on the regular bed. Just a note, all star movies ha renovated SOME of their rooms, and last I heard construction has stopped for the time being so you can’t be guaranteed two queens there. The only value you are guaranteed two queens is pop century.

We stayed at pop with the new beds and the Murphy bed is just as comfortable as the normal queen. They have the same mattress so they should feel the same.

Like the pp said, pop is your only value that you would be guaranteed two queen beds since all star movies isn’t finished

When are you traveling? Movies is supposed to be done in February, but the refurb is on hold for now, so who knows. If you're going later in 2019 then movies might work, though pop is a guarantee.

I stayed in Pop and Movies just a few weeks ago, and I found at both resorts the pull down to be just as comfy as the regular bed. Yes, I tried both just for fun. :teeth: So if you want to stay in a value but need queen beds, i'd go with pop or movies. Depending on when your trip is, Movies might be fully furnished by then. But from what I see, more than half of movies is done. So you should be fine. The new rooms are really nice. If you call and request a new room, that would help. And upon checkin if you dont get what you want, go to the front desk and ask again for a new room. I've done this numerous times and 90% of the time i've gotten what I wanted. :) I just told them i'm willing to wait and that its no rush. I'd go to the park to kill time anyway. When is your trip?

Actually thats not entirely true. Out of the 3 all stars, Movies has queen beds now...although they havent finished with the refurb just yet. I'd say more than half is done.
Half of the standard and half of the preferred buildings are finished (3/6 preferred and 2/4 standard)

The pull down murphy bed is identical to the "real" bed> They have the exact same thickness of mattress, not a thinner version that you may think of when you think of a murphy bed.

2 queens but you can get a room with one king at the all stars. I get a king every trip and have been doing so since 2009.
