Bed Rails

I thought read somewhere that the resort will provide bed rails (to keep small children from rolling off the bed) upon request. I can't find where I read that but I would much prefer the bed rails than having my 1 yo son sleeping in a pack n play. He has one at home and refuses to even take a nap in it. We are staying at POP in Feb so I am trying to figure out if we need to buy them and bring them or if they have them there. Has anyone ever used the bed rails (if they are actually available)??

We stayed at Saratoga Springs in May and we had them on our request but when we got there they said they were out. Before we went to bed that night I just happened to look outside and saw one in the hallway. I called downstairs about them again and she said that we could take that one and they had another come back from housekeeping b/c the other people using them had checked out. We had to have two since we had two 2 yr. olds with us and they were sleeping in different beds. I'm not sure if every resort has them but ask them to be sure.

Also, on my DS's first trip we just took my MIL's along with us. It worked for us since we were driving and it folded down compact. That might be an idea if you are driving.

We have requested .. and always got.. our bedrails. at POP and AS-Sports

We have never had a problem, getting them in any WDW or DVC resort!!

That's a great thought. I wonder if SOG has them. Now I have another call to make today!

The key to ordering bedrails is to ask for them right away too. Almost every time we've requested them ahead of time, they weren't in the room when we checked in. Then, we've called and requested them and they say that they'll deliver them. And, in most occasions, they were in the room when we got back from the parks. But, about 3-4 times, we got back late (after the parks closed) and no bed rails. Then, we called to find that it would be an hour or more to get them, because there's way less housekeeping staff onsite at that hour. So, now, if we don't see them in the room, we stay right there until they're delivered to avoid the LONG wait in the evening (with a tired child).

We stayed at Pop in October and used them. We requested them when we made our reservations and I mentioned it again at check-in. By the time we got back to our room, the rails were already there!
