Just a quick question, do Disneyland hotels supply bed guards on request?

Vinnie will be 2.5 years old and will be too big for a travel cot and will be in a bed but with a bed guard.

TIA

Carly

No bed guards at Disneyland paris, what hotel are you staying at ?.
most of the beds in Disneyland are very high. Your little one may be a bit big for the travel cot but a least they will be safe. x

Hi it will be either santaFe or Cheyenne cheap and cheerful

It's a shame about the bed guards x

We took Lucas when he was 2 years and 4 months and he was fine in a Cheyenne bunk bed on the bottom. We put pillows next to it just in case, but he was fine.

You could always put him the other way round as the foot end of the bed has a bed rail kind of there as part of the design, which you can sort of see in this photo of Lucas next to his bed there:

You may find that he is sleeping fine without a bed guard by then, I never used one for my eldest 4 children as they were all over 2 by the time they went into a bed, but my 5th was in a bed at 20 months so I got one for her. But then we went to disney about a month later & I'd totally forgotten about her having a bed guard & she slept absolutely fine so we stopped using the bed guard when we got home!

How did you LO get on at DLP at that age, i'm hoping Vinnie will have an understanding of where he is etc

How did he get on on the rides and with the characters?

We went in November just before our dd's 3rd birthday. We stayed in the santa Fe and I hadn't even thought about what we were going to do regarding beds. When we arrived they asked if we wanted a travel cot, we said yes and the one they provided was different to the one we had the year before. This one was a lot longer and also had a zip opening at the end so she could get out of bed in the night if she needed to go to the toilet.

I'm assuming that they provide these types of cots with families with "older" pre-schoolers.

When mine were little I just used to move the bed over to the wall. We had to do it everyday because they moved it back each day when they made the bed. Because the beds are so huge it worked really well and they never rolled out. Looks a bit weird though because the headboards are stuck to the wall not the bed.

I took this (blurry :sad2:) photo in December at the Cheyenne bus stop for my own future reference :lmao: Looks like you can hire a bed guard - we always take our travel one as I never knew! Maybe you could e-mail the hotel beforehand just to make sure :)

That is brilliant thank you so much!!

just out of interest where did you get your travel bed guard from and how small does it fold up? Could i take it on the eurostar? x

Sorry, I can't remember where we got it from as it was a few years ago but it's this one:

http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs...displayA_168_10751_-1_14700_13514_10001_14053

Used it with DD1 5 years ago and now with DD2 so it's definitely worth the outlay. The metal poles inside it come apart, it all collapses down and everything fits in a drawstring bag for transit. We packed it in our suitcase and took it on the Eurostar in December with no problems.

We use a travel bed guard too - think it's a Lindam one. To be honest though ours is quite heavy but does the job well. I think the first time we went we just put the bed against the wall - can't recall why as I'm sure we had the guard. But DD still managed to fall out of the other side of the bed :lmao:. They are high beds in the DLH - she stayed asleep though ;).

I wouldn't be without my bed guard, they are worth investing in imo - as you can use anywhere/any holiday.

I suppose you could always try ebay and then give it a good clean? Mine has sort of wipeable material so it's worth a shot. Seem to recall mine was nearly £40 but that was about 6 years ago.

At least you know you can get one at Cheyenne though :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if the hotel New york do bed guards ?
Am guessing this is a new service. A bed guard would be handy for the twins bed they always sleep together (they take in turns whos bed to sleep in on different nights) but move around all night the beds in the New york very high and I know they are going to fall out. Thanks Rachael x
