Bed bugs

Just wondered with all the bed bug infestations out there......has anyone encountered any of these bed bugs at any of the resort hotels? We're staying at the Polynesian in early Nov., and I was just wondering.

Check out the Resorts board there have been a few reports (some confirmed and some not confirmed) and begbugregistry.com. The reports on bed bug registry are usually not confirmed, meaning someone said they had bedbugs but didn't report it to the hotel so they could check the claim.

I plan on checking the bed and sofa as soon as we get into the room to see if I can find any. If so I will ask for a new room.

I had checked the bedbugregistry but wasn't sure how reliable it was, some of the complaints on that site are from 3 years ago. I'll check out the resort discussion boards, I was planning on checking our mattresses as well when we get there. Thanks for the info.
