just read on tripadvisor a few reports saying there are bed bugs in some rooms in the santa fe... i absolutely hate bugs...the reports were from 2007 and i know i should take them with a pinch of salt..but has anyone else had any experience like this.
can anyone suggest any block we should request before we leave? would ideally like to be near the restaurant or kids play area (is their a kids play area?? and how good is it?)

I stayed in the Santa Fe twice in 2007, and have read numerous reports on this site from folk who have stayed in the Santa Fe in the past 2 years, and not one has mentioned bed bugs :confused3 .

I love the Santa Fe - I've always had a clean comfy room - and the most comfy beds in the world :goodvibes .

None of the rooms at the Santa Fe are in the same block as the restaurant and play area. There are rooms just across the way from them though - I know block 42 isn't too far away, as thats where we stayed our first time.

The play area inside the Santa Fe is very small, suitable for under 5s I'd say, but you'd need to keep an eye on them, as its in the bar/restaurant area, and not enclosed.

I have nevered heard of anyone suffering from bed bugs in any Disney hotels.

I love trip advisor, so much info on there. you cant believe it all but alot is just normal travellers like here. Thing with bed bugs is you can get them in a hostel or the Plaza its not necessarily a problem in the hotel but something that can occur anywhere. If your concerned you should always check the bed when you get to you room just incase!

I just had to have a squint at Trip Advisor. NOT a good idea, because you can't comment on the daft things that people have written. I wanted a button that you can press that says something like "this poster is just a big fat liar!" :rotfl:

I never pay any credence to any reports on Trip Advisor :rotfl2:

I wouldn't give any credence to anything negative written on Trip Advisor, actually to anything written on Trip Advisor. You have asked the right people here and will get honest responses.

We stayed in the Santa Fe and have nothing but good things to say about it, we stayed at NPB on our recent trip and our DS would have rather stayed at SF.

i have also stayed at the santa fe and reading trip advisor really worried me before i went but i have to say i had no problem with the hotel.

I know when I was looking at going to California a couple of years back, I would never have found a hotel to stay in if I believed everything on that site:rolleyes:
