Bed Bugs at Candy Cane Inn recently?

Since there is no evidence that there ever were any bedbugs at CCI, this thread is misleading by its very existence. Why it hasn't been locked :confused:

Or, maybe removed entirely?

My thoughts exactly...

Not that I am trying to be a conspiracy theorist, but the CCI manager who posted here did not unequivocally say that there had been no bed bugs at the CCI. Rather he said that the "all the bed bugs" had not been an issue for them.

Don't get me wrong, I get the impression that whatever is (or is not) going on at CCI, management is addressing it aggressively and appropriately. This comforts me because I am staying there in June. But I don't think we can say beyond a shadow of doubt (based on this thread) that there are not nor have recently been bed bugs at CCI.
 
Anyone can make a website and post whatever they want on it. I looked at the aforementioned bedbug site and it's kinda cheesy. I was thinking of what my mom's says, "consider the source" whenever you read/hear something that someone else calls a "fact." This website doesn't require anyone to back up their claim by submitting a photo or scan of a receipt with a date on it. (No, I wouldn't expect anyone to expose their customer name or card information, that could be blacked out.) Anyone can post on those kind of sites and as we all know, some people are full of crap.
 

I was asked to close this thread. It looks like everything has been discussed and resolved, for the most part, so I don't think anyone will mind.:goodvibes
 
Thank you to those who have had their faith restored in the Candy Cane Inn. Of course there will always be sceptics and I understand that.

When it comes down to it you have to trust and believe that we at the Candy Cane Inn do our best to provide quality accomodations for our guests. Are we 100% perfect? No, no one can be. But, we do our best to be as close to perfect as possible.

During those rare occasions where we do fail, we are in the business of guest satisfaction and we will do anything and everything to make things right.

We take pride in our little hotel. That is why we have been in business for 54 years. The only way you will know for sure that the Candy Cane Inn is a quality hotel is to come try it for yourself.

If you are not satisfied with your stay or if there is anything I can do to assist you, please let me or my staff know. We will do what we can to ensure you will be a loyal Candy Cane Inn guest.

Just wanted to thank Chris for coming on the boards to straighten out this misunderstanding. The Candy Cane Inn is really a very good property, and I think that it shows with the care that the owners place there.
