, I’m Tracy. Lately you could call me the trip reporter who cried wolf. I HAD a PTR that was going to cover our trips in May, October, and December of 2010.


Well May got thrown out the window due to obligations in an advocacy group, October got cancelled due to being crazy enough to think we should spend money on two sets of airfare, two sets of dog boarding, two sets of well everything. Our Disney want was outweighed by our real life needs, but we vowed we would go this year.


We had many date changes, even more ADR changes, I know if I wrote it all out I would supersede ScottNY in the changing your mind department, but who wants to do that? It is fun to tease him about it since he is such a great sport.


A long trip was scheduled in December, we were going to meet up with some friends and that fell through. Well my mind could not stay idle. I was up really late one night and got a tweet from Southwest Airlines announcing a 72 hour sale with cheaper rates than I have seen in a while. I was curious because I had a code for $25 off each round trip so I decided to plug in some dates.

Hmmm, it didn’t work for December, only up until the end of November. I decided to see just for giggles what the rates would be for Enchanted’s Ip Dip weekend in October (another Disney fan board). Bill had gotten another website to build so he was making more money and I am getting a raise in July so I thought “let’s just see”.

Was I really seeing what I thought I was seeing?? $66 flights one way?? $305.06 for 2 people ROUND TRIP?? You have got to be kidding me. I think I hyperventilated a little bit.


Bill looked at me and said “what are you doing?” I said “ah nothing, just surfing the web”, he said “what are you looking at”? I must have looked guilty or something

. Well as many people know, I can’t tell Bill a lie to save my life so I told him about the “sale”, the code, and the price. So he looks at me, shakes his head and says:


“Tracy we have 2 separate reservations in December, move one of them to Ip Dip, we have the money now and I know that would make you happy to see everyone again. I want you happy.”

What about the spreadsheets I have been working on for weeks?


What about all the dining reservations I made? I had Le Cellier, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Chef Mickey’s, all the hard ones, WHAT ABOUT THEM!!

In the end, the dining reservations we had meant nothing. Getting to go cheaply and affordable was within our reach. The idea of going in October, seeing Ip Dippers we knew and ones we wanted to meet was too enticing. We are looking forward to many things:


Bill gets to race against Taz, wheelchair vs. ECV (just kidding, Bill doesn’t race at WDW)


We will get to see old friends and meet some great people.


It was great that we were going to take 2 trips, but things kept nagging at me. We have been lucky to take the trips we have but it is better for our future to not be blowing money, we need to save more.


It sucks to be an adult but we need to be. Living in this apartment building is a pain, people seem to want to cook and set off fire alarms at 3am at twice once a month, there are more and more strangers moving in and the people Bill likes moving out. It doesn’t feel safe like it used to. There was a big conversation and we came to the conclusion that in the spring we will be looking to move into a house. We are looking for a yard for Ace, peace for Bill, and a washer and dryer for Tracy, what could be better.

This would change our trip plans for the 143 time since February.


Now comes the part where people that have never read my PTR's are asking WHO is Tracy, Bill, and Ace? So I will introduce us:

Me, Tracy (sound like a caveman don’t I

) 40, “super pooh sized”, computer addicted, I have a silly sense of humor, and most of all I’m Walt Disney World obsessed. This will be my 8th Disney trip.

Him, Bill, very intelligent, has Cerebral Palsy and uses in a motorized wheelchair. He has a wicked sense of humor and has become addicted to MLB The Show on PS3 lately. This will be Bill’s 13th Disney trip. Here we are in trips through the years:

Lastly is Ace. He is our 5 year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier furbaby. He hates storms, tries to attack power windows and windshield wipers in the van, and loves us unconditionally. There is not a day that goes by when we don’t have an “aww” moment looking at him. We love this dog so much more than I can ever express. Here are some pictures of him:

I saw about free dining, AP + dining is cheaper for us. The mountains were good, I will post some pics in a day or two. I have an announcment!

Today, I got 2 phone calls, a text message, a facebook message, 2 offline yahoo messages, and an email today from Toni, desperately needing to speak to me. It seems Terry's vacation days couldn't be taken away because they were furlough not actual vacation days so their trip is back on. Read here about it.

So the question was, would would change our trip to meet them.

Can you say H#$@ YEAH. I mean heck, there is no way we would pass up this opportunity. I will give the details in a little bit, but needless to say, two trips are back in the mix!!

I didn’t last 24 hours without making a change, I am such a

. It is a great change but geez I am sick of the changes so you must be too. Bill and I have decided that the only option to change again is cancelling everything and I don’t see that happening, do you??

We now have an October and December trip planned. I am happy the December is back on because the thought of not seeing the castle all lit up was killing me. I have seen it every year since they started in 2007.

We are still looking toward moving next spring sometime so this is our last trip until we do that. (Or a great pin code comes out in spring

, shhhh DON’T TELL Bill I said that.)

So here is the plan as of 9:41pm CST July 6th, 2010:

Where: Polynesian Resort

Yep, you read it right, the Poly is back in the mix, Bill said he didn’t mind moving stuff around if he got the Poly

. What a great little blackmailer he is. Like I was going to say no, maybe I will even hula dance

, yeah right like that is going to happen.

We will do the MNSSHP on the 22nd, Epcot and the Ip Dip dinner where ever it ends up being on the 23rd, DHS on the 24th, and just chill at the Poly on the 25th until we leave.

December Planning

When: Dec. 2nd – Dec. 10th
Where: Pop Century
Dining Plan: Regular

Oh the other condition that Bill had is if we moved the trip we HAD to be in WDW on my birthday which is Dec. 9th so that is why we are flying in a couple days after Toni and Terry. I told her that gives them some alone time before I talk her to death

We are completely ecstatic that they are able to come to WDW for her birthday. I know how upset she was by not getting to go, it would break my heart when we talked about it.

So that is the plan so far, I will be going into more details in the upcoming days and throw in a couple of pictures from our Smoky Mountains trip as well. I hope you stick with us. At least you never know what I am going to type right??
