No lines, MVMCP, decent weather, good rates at the resorts.

Anytime there isn't school? Is that an option? Unfortunately if Dis Con is during the school year, next time, I won't be going...I cannot take Andrew out of school once he starts 1st grade...so I am hoping it will be during a vacation!

The week after Thanksgiving, as always. it's just too perfect! No crowds, nice weather, MVMCP, Candlelight Processional...and the holiday decorations everywhere is just the icing on the cake!!

Well some people can't go in December because of schoool ..I have a 8th grader and a 4th grader... too important for them to miss school... Plus Some people can't get away because they have inflexible schedules. Maybe I am old fashioned and all.. but leaving my family for a vacation by myself sounds foriegn to me IMHO

I agree with having it in the same time frame as this year's. Unfortunately, during school vacations is also peak time for costs and crowds. A lot of folks are on a tight budget. And as other posters have mentioned, WDW during the Christmas season is just sooo beautiful and has so many "happenings".

I understand why most enjoy going in early December. There are many DISers that can't/won't take our kids out of school for a trip to Disney. Any DIS CON that is during school times knocks us out.

Couldn't we have ONE DIS CON that's during school vacations.?

I think it would be nice to have every 3rd or 4th DISCON during the summer. Have all of the others in December, October....
This way all DISers that are interested in attending will be able to do so.


If it never changes, I'll just have to keep reading all the wonderful post and looking t the excellent pictures about DISCON.

I voted for December. The fact that it is value season really helps keep costs down for people. Plus, all the wonderful holiday happenings and much smaller crowds are really great! Plus, my wedding is next Dec. 13 and I would love DIS CON to overlap with it, so I'm a little biased.

Oh man....I know what you mean Nancy. I went once in July and I vowed, never again. The crowds were HUGE and the heat was downright oppressive.

I think Dan had a great idea....Maybe DIS'ers with children in school can organize a "Family DISCON" in the summer.

I loved going in December for all of the reasons mentioned above. I doubt I'll be going again any time soon, though.

A family Discon in the summer would be nice for all those who can't do a December trip.

I agree with Gina. Even though I had a wonderful time, December is a tough month and it would be much easier when school was not in session.

I voted Dec, because that is my favorite time of year. Beth can not go Jan through April because of her job. That time frame would either we don't go or I go solo. I understand the need for some not during school time. That would mean a late June to mid August time frame. Has anyone considered a DISCON at Disneyland? I know not as much available, but it would be fun also. Maybe a hotel across from Disneyland. Just thinking out loud.

I would have to say that Dis Con would and should be around the same time every year. I know this does not work for everyone but price and crowd wise its the best time.

Alot of people think its to much money if you try for a peak time it would be alot more. Just look at regular room rates how they change from winter to summer.

There is a saying that you cant please everyone. And its sad but thats just life I guess.
