Hey all you beavertail fans! Just wanted to let you know that we found out the hard way that the beavertail kiosk is not opening until 3:00 pm lately. I don't know if this has always been the case.
It's a long story, but we ended up staying an extra day in Orlando. Gave DD her choice of what to do on our "free" day.She is an obnoxiously picky eater, and fell in love with beavertails this trip, so she chose the World Showcase so she could get another beavertail. After doing some FutureWorld stuff, we hustled over to Canada and were dismayed to see the kiosk hadn't opened! We waited for awhile, thinking it just hadn't gotten opened yet. After about 10 minutes we asked the CM at the Canada souvenir kiosk right next to it when they would be opening--he said not til 3:00!!! He said people ask him all day long every day, and he can't figure out why they don't open it earlier, and that he tells his supervisor all the time!
anyway, we were really surprised since the pastries are SO popular, and the CM agreed.
We went on to see Pooh and EEyore at the UK and had a fabulous lunch (chicken platter) at Tangierine Cafe (which didn't open until 12) and DD got to feed and pet a squirrel there while we
waited-a highlight for her.

Thanks for the "heads-up"! I am heading there in a few weeks and can't wait to get one!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Beavertails are our fav also. We'll be ther in a few weeks and wouldn't want to miss them. Thanks for the heads up.

I'd have been happy to have it open at 3:00. We were there for our Spring Break and the evening of March 14 it wasn't open at all!

I wanted to try one last year in May on our trip and they were closed. Now I know why. :(

Thanks for sharing. I was going to try my first Beaver Tail in Dec. but yup, they were closed. Did notice that later they were open, but alas we had just finished dinner at Garden Grill and were stuffed. Guess I'll just have to try again next month.

Wow! I had no idea... Thanks for the heads up!

PeterPam, you can find more info on Beavertails here...

My fav is the apple cinnamon! Yum!! :p I don't know exactly which ones they serve at the Epcot location, I haven't ordered them there before.

Yep yep yep, this is true. We found this out last week when we were most anxious to try our first ever Beavertail. We were able to hang around until 3:00, though. :)

Don't forget to have the CM sing the Beaver tail song. It was the highlight of our trip!

This effected us during our Feb 03 trip. I never ended up being able to try a beavertail on that trip. Our first night in Disney when we go back on Aug 30th is to head to EC and get a beavertail.

My sister is a CM in Canada foods and she said BeaverTails was closed for a few days because they couldn't get the stock in. Had one last weekend.

Hi there...

Did anyone notice the beavertails are a little different now?

The first time(s) we tried them they were deep fried and last year when we went it seemed more like they were baked - they just didn't taste the same =(

Luckily I live in Canada... and we have them here all year round =)

Yes they are different. When I worked there we made them in the oil fryer, now they come pre fried and they just warm them up in a toaster-like contraption. No where near as good.

Oh-Oh! That's disappointing-we'll still have to try them ourselves in a couple of week. DS will let us know-they were his fav. We won't tell him and we'll see if he notices.

Hi there Mom_rules...

They were still good - just different... not as crispy

No one else seemed to have noticed but me !
