We always like to take the kidlets to see the Festival of lights in Niagara Falls and thought we would add a shopping day in Buffalo as well. While dh was looking into hotels he discovered that the B and B show is playing at the Niagara Theatre for the Performing Arts. The website www.silvermist.ca states "

Silver Mist Productions is proud to present Disney's Beauty and the Beast at the newly renovated Niagara Theatre for the Performing Arts. The show begins November 23, 2007 and runs until Jan 1, 2008. This musical adaption of the hit Disney film will be opening at The Niagara Centre for the Performing Arts.

This November plan on seeing the sensational live Silver Mist Production Inc. of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Critics have raved about it. The buzz is that it is the best production ever in Niagara Falls, Canada. Kids love it. Adults love it. You will love it. The price is right and there are hotel packages to suit your particular taste.

We got tickets for it, dh and I saw it in Toronto years ago (b.c. before children). I don't know if it is on that scale but I know that my dd will love it. Anyone else going?

:goodvibes

Woo hoo! My wife just said the other day that if this ever came back to Toronto we would have to take the kids to see it because they would absolutely love it. Thanks for bringing this our attention!! We just got tickets and I can't believe kids under 5 are free - that is unheard of for shows like this!! We got ROW B tickets and we are excited!

Just found this out last night. Is it the same show that was in TO a few years ago?

Congrats, I'm glad you got tickets. Mine just came in the mail today, we are all so excited about it.

I do not know if it is the same show, from what I have read it sounds as if it is on a grand scale, its Disney so it has to be awesome and the ticket prices are reasonable.

Thanks! I just ordered them for my 8 year old for Christmas ~ Belle is her favourite princess! This beats an Ipod anyday!

Hi

My sons and I are going to Niagara Falls Dec 26-28th We bought the dinner and show pkg ---$50.00 each --we thought the Rainforest Cafe would be nice. I also booked The Marriott 2 night pkg which includes breakfast and a 45 dollar voucher at T.G.I.F or the Keg. I've heard the lights show is great.
I am looking forward to a little R&R --counting down the days till school finishes.
It's not Disney but I'll take it.

Hugs Mel

They are coming to Calgary in March and the tickets went on sale today. I am going to ask at supper tonight who wants to go with moi?

So what did everybody think of this show that went to it? We thought the show itself was very good but didn't realize the venue was...uh...what did you guys think?

Well, let's just say we were surprised when we got there. It was a much, much smaller venue then I anticipated. I felt as though I was in a high school auditorium. The show itself was very well done considering the venue. The props and sets were well done and the actors were very good. We had a hard time hearing Gaston's side kick but other than that the sound was good. There were some differences in the storyline, and costumes but overall it was good, my kids liked it, which is all that matters. I did expect more considering the cost of tickets. We were very thankful that we had the first row of the "mezzinine" and I use that term loosely, as it was very gradual seating and I don't think my kids would have been able to see. Thankfully we had no one in front of us and some room to move. Many people ended up moving to the back to see better.:goodvibes

LOL...my sentiments exactly. In fact, I think it was a high school auditorium at one time and now the school part is an adult learning centre and they have converted the old auditorium to a public "theatre". We were in row B on the right hand side and there wasn't anybody in front of us so we could see very well. The show as done well but like you said it was much smaller than we expected...my wife joked as we pulled in that we had just paid $50/ticket for a high school play! One good thing was that the atmosphere was very relaxed which worked out well since we had our DS2 and DD4 with us...and their tickets were free which was great too!

I saw this mentioned on the Disboard so convinced DH to add it to a night of our pre-Xas Toronto trip/Hannah Montana Concert trip. We included the tickets in our Niagra hotel package but did not get a meal package as we have small kids. We missed the morning show but we could have gone to it as the there were still tickets. We went to the evening performance. That may not have been the best idea for us with small kids and 1 hour time change. We did like the show but the production at Disney is as good. We were really surprised at the venue as we would never dream of eating in a theatre like that here in PEI. There were lots of empty seats on a Friday night. We lost our son's winter had and had no luck finding it but at least the show was good.
