I am trying to gauge how early my family needs to get to the Beauty and the Beast theater. My daughter loves Belle and I am hoping to score good seats.

Do FP+ people have a reserved area? Or are people with a FP admitted before the standby line, which imo, is not that great of an advantage?

We are hoping to see the 4pm show on a weekday in January. How early should I get to the theater if I DON'T reserve a FP and want to be front and center?

Show up 20-30 minutes before any show, with or without FP, and you should be fine. You may find the FP FAQ helpful, specifically Post #8.

Thank you, that's exactly the info I was looking for. Do you know where the reserved seating area is located?

We got there 10 minutes before the show started and got seats on about the 5th row a little to the left but not all the way to the left. I think everything depends on what the crowds are like when your there and what others are doing at that time. We were in line for the little mermaid about 20 minutes before show and didn't make it in the door so we decided to skip out and go to frozen ever after which wasn't supposed to start for another 30 minutes. As we approached it looked crazy over there. It looked like a war was about to happen and people were running and jerking their kids around and out of strollers. It looked like an explosion of strollers just happened right there by the entrance. At that point my oldest was like I'm tapping out of this one lol! So we immediately took a right and met minnie and Mickey. Then we met olof. We noticed it was about 15 minutes before the next little mermaid. We made our way over there and made it in the theater that time. Then we went to frozen where it looked calm this time and got a seat in the middle of the theater. So, it's all in timing and you don't know what that's going to be until you get there.

We happened to show up just before a few shows (Frozen, Indiana Jones, Finding Nemo, Lion King) during our early Oct trip this year. We were directed to seats near the front and generally in the center for all except Lion King where we were toward the back. For Indiana Jones we ended up 2nd row. These were crowd level 2 days so maybe the shows just didn’t fill but I don’t thinking showing up early would have been beneficial. We didn’t get to Beauty and Beast- I wish we had.
