hi did anyone have beautiful day by u2 for their recessional. i would love to have this but i don't know what it will sound like with no words.

if i remember right, the organist can play just about anything. you, of course, have to tell him what you want and he will have to get the music. i'm sure it would sound really good. if you're really curious about what it sounds like, i say, get the sheet music, and go to your local church. ask the organist if he or she can play it for you so you can see what it sounds like.

We used Beautiful Day for our recessional. It was perfect.

We used a CD. While I liked the organ, it wasn't appealing to me to have the organist play the song.

did you use a cd throughtout the whole cermony or did you use the organ also. i thought i heard somewhere that you were only allowed one or the other. what other songs did you play at your wedding. thanks caroline

i'm having all recorded (movie) music at my wedding. so i'm paying an AV guy to play CDs instead of a violinist.

i say you play the U2 CD! that song just would lose a lot of its magic without the lyrics and Bono's soaring voice
