Beaute Speciale question

I spoke with Ana from Beaute Speciale today about setting up a hair/makeup trial while we're on vacation this December for our December 2008 wedding.

She said that in her opinion it's best to book the hair trial closer to the date because it might not be the same person doing the hair (??) and that things with my hair can change (I agree!).

But, my confusion is as to why the same person wouldn't be doing my hair. Doesn't Ana do the hair and makeup? I wound up booking her for a makeup trial only since I absolutely loved sunsh1ne 's look!

She was very, very nice and I'm looking forward to the trial but I guess I just don't understand it about the hair thing. I told Ana that I'm just not sure if we'll be flying down to Disney again before the wedding, so I don't know what to do. She said if I change my mind and I want the hair trial that I could call her and she'll bring all her stuff.

there are a few ladies who work with BS...they do tv shoots as well as weddings, so i guess they need to get closer to the date before they can guarantee an artist for you!

Hi there. I don't know if she does all of her clients herself, but what I would say is that since you aren't sure if you'll make it down to Florida or not again before your wedding, and you want a hair trial from them, go for it because if you have a trial at home to see what you'd like your hair to look like, it wouldn't be by the same person anyway. Hope that didn't come out super confusing

Ah, I guess that makes sense. Thanks for the quick response! I just thought I remember reading that sunsh1ne said "Ana" did it, but maybe I misread it.

Maybe if I like the makeup trial that I'll just book her for next year and have a little faith in their hairstyling ability.

I inquired about hair extensions and she recommended buying human hair extensions at a beauty supply store. I just have no idea what to buy or how much!

Hmmmm, that's true. I mean, even if it's not exactly the same I'd at least have an idea of what it look like! I saw hairstyles that I would love to have but I don't know if they would look good on me! I'm sure if she does my hair and I wind up with somebody different it'll look something like it at least.

Yeah, that's what I'd figure too.. you woudn't want to not have a trial at all and then have your hair done and have it look all wrong on your wedding day and then it's too late to really do anything (this happened to my DF's cousin - not a fun situation). So atleast if you had a trial, with them or somewhere at home, you'd get a better feel for how things will look on you

thank you so much. i am glad you liked it. Ana was great and the makeup did not feel cakey. She brought another lady with her to help with makeup but, if she does your trial she will do your makeup that morning! cant wait to see your pics

Hi! I just got married on 11/16/2007 and I had Beaute Speciale do my hair/make-up. Ana did my hair which came out awesome and MaryBelle did my make-up which was awesome too! They are both too funny and very nice! I would definitely recommend them!
