Beanie Babie Issues...Please Help!

when my nephew left his school when they moved he gave the kids one of my beanie babies to each kid in k4 I got rid of some of my collection ,he had fun giving each kid a beanie he picked out just for them he gave one little girl a snake we were shocked but she was sooooo happy turns out she likes snakes everyone was happy maybe you could donate some to a school with kids that are in the inner city or just a school that will give them out as rewards to the kids

Operation Christmas Child is great. I go to a church that has over 5000 people attend each weekend. This past Christmas our church was able to send over 16,000 shoe boxes. Of that we donated 4...each one of us made one up.
My husband also works for a company that was a collection site for this program. Many smaller churchs, groups, clubs etc, was able to put together their boxes and drop them off there.
I am sure that if you visit the site that it will give you what information you need to do so!

Send them to the soliders in Iraq... they pass them out to the kids.... go to anysolider.com and get the addresses to send them too!!! THEY LOVE TO GET THEM!!!!!

Thank you for all the great ideas!!!! They will soon have new homes!

Not only did I fall for the beanie babies, I feel for the barbies and lost on those too. I ended up selling alot of my barbies on ebay for only $10 a piece (these costs close to $50 to $100 each!). But I'm a teacher and I bring out the beanie babies when I do a unit on zoos and the kids create a real zoo with the beanie babies. My sister sold hers at a yard sale for a quarter a piece!

Donations are good but if you want to sell them check here...

They just came thru my area...granted, I only made $75.00 but it was better than taking up space in my home office!!!

Great ideas guys. I didnt get caught up like a lot of people, just have a couple from happy meals and stuff.

If any of you has one that is a dark gray/light gray striped kitten with pink nose and whiskers my DD's is almost ready to be thrown out. It is her "snugglie" that she carries around almost everywhere with her. I've washed it so many times it is literally falling apart. I have stitched one of the arms back on and the tail is ready to fall off. I'll buy it and pay S&H if anyone has it! Thanks SO much! This is so funny that this thread got started, we've been looking for this particular one forever!!

I think the one you are talking about is Prance. You wouldn't find it in stores, because it is retired. There are lots of them on ebay though. Watch the shipping though.

Is this it?

Just do a search on there for Prance and you should find a lot of them.

Yup, that's the one!!! Thank you so much for finding his name for me :) His tag is LOOOOOng gone.

I'll have to look on eBay for him.

You're welcome. My son has a beanie baby collectors book and I just looked it up in there. He refuses to give that book up, LOL

Our local Subway restaurant had a "teddies for Christmas" drive last year so I donated a bunch of beanie babies to that. Also, I put one in each of the "Operation Shoebox" boxes that we did last year and whenever DS is invited to a girl's birthday party, I always stick one in the gift bag along with whatever present we've bought.

One more suggestion: homeless shelters. Sometimes those kids don't have much of anything and a little "lovey" is very welcome.

Another place to donate is to a local rescue squad. We carry stuffed animals to give our pediatric patients in the back of the ambulance.
