Have you bought any? Do the kids like it ? Where did you get it ? I loved mine growing up - so I'm thinking my kiddos will too .

Bought 2 probably 5 years ago. We had them for in front of the kids' TV where they typically played their video games. They used them quite a bit then.
Now we're down to one child not so much use.

We got them at Fred Meyer, the beans cost more than the bag!
Then after about 6mo to a year you need to re-fill the bag with more beans, because the old ones are flattened by all the hineys sitting on them.

Kids will probably like them, just don't ask grandma or grandpa to take a seat, they probably won't be able to get up!

I also got DS's at Target, and he loves it! (And my niece was over and wants one too now.)

We had them when our children were little. The kids liked them, but we have too many kids over at one time for them to work out now that they are bigger.

This really made me laugh out loud. I just bought one of my youngest DD for Christmas so she can play her video games and watch tv while sitting in it. SSSHHHHH! Don't tell her.

Dec 20 my first grandchild is due to arrive. So I will be a grandma in the near future so don't ask grandma to take a seat made me laugh. But it is so true, because I would have a really hard time getting out of it. :guilty::laughing:

We got one at Target last year as well. Our company fights over who gets to sit in it when we play Nintendo Wii.

I found Bean bag chairs for the American Girl dolls at Walmart for $5, now I am in search for one for DD8. I loved the one I had as a kid, and I am sure she will too.

ThtAnks! I found some cute ones at target- never thought to look there. They are sooo soft! The kids will probably never get out of them! They will be beyond thee I'm sure cause they are alwys sitting on the floor .

Are bean bags generally big enough for an 11 year old? DS 11 has been asking for one since last year and I'd like to get him one since the only other thing he's asking for for Christmas is hockey cards.

DD had two different bean bag chairs and both ended up with holes and made a huge mess! Then we got her a LoveSac and it is great. I can remove the cover and wash it. It takes less than a minute to re-plump when it gets flattened out and we have had it several years now with no problems. It is also comfortable. I have even dozed in it when DD has been ill.

Since the cover is removable, when DD is older and no longer wants little girl pink, we can buy a new "cool" cover and she can take it to college. :thumbsup2

I bought ours at Pottery Barn Kids. Our girls are 12 and 5, and we've had them for several years. PBK is pricey, but worth it if you're thinking to keep them a long time.

It claims it seats FIVE!! My girls are 12 and 14, and all 4 of us can fit on this thing! It's awesome! They can actully fit 5 or 6 of their friends on it. They love it!

My family had several bean bags when I was growing up. We used them when we watched movies, played video games etc. When I was 8 I got my own smaller sized one and it was pink and it had Minnie Mouse on it. Over the years we replaced them. We bought from different stores like Sam's, mall stores and Target.

My nephew has a bean bag that he uses at my parents' house and he loves it.

DD15 said she is taking something like this with her when she goes off to college. DH said it was a great idea-he has NO idea how much they cost though and is in for a SHOCK when HE will take her to buy one when the time comes :lmao:.

We got some cheep plastic ones at Walmart for the kids to use in our basement family room probably 10 years ago. We still have them but they don't use them all that much any longer.

oooh, yeah, they aren't cheap. That huge one was about $250  but we had budgeted a certain amount to redecorate the playroom, changing it from a basement room with pink carpet and tons of Barbies and dress-up clothes to a "teen hang-out" type room. So anyway, the kids wanted the huge beanbag couch and since there was money in the budget for it, we went for it. We ripped out that carpet and stained the concrete. It looks really cool, plus no worries about stains/spills, but it meant they couldn't just lie on the floor to watch TV anymore - so we had to get SOME type of couch. This was cheaper than a "traditional" couch, plus the cover zipps off so I can wash it. :thumbsup2

We also got a couple of smaller "individual" bean bag chairs from there, and they were about $50 each. The covers are more comfortable than the vinal ones, IMHO.

I will never buy a bean bag chair again! We have the City Sacks by Love Sack and they are perfect! For what I had previously spent in bean bag chairs, I could have bought these years ago and been ahead of the game. The City Sacks are so comfortable and durable. Love that I can wash the covers. Yes, they are expensive, but believe me, you will save money in the long run. We must have gone through 8 bean bag chairs (4 pair) in the past. I have had the two City Sacks for 2 years now and they are still in perfect shape.

If you can, I highly advise that you make the investment into a Love Sack!
