Bead Outpost at Epcot, Gone?

I was in WDW 3 weeks ago and it appeared that the Bead Outpost in Epcot WS was gone or moved? Does anyone have information on that? I bought my first necklace there last year and was looking forward to buying more.

It is gone. They initially removed it for the F&G Festival, but no one seems to know if they'll put it back or not.

Are you referring to the beaded bracelets etc made from recycled park maps?

I might be misremembering but for some reason I think we found a selection of the bracelets in the African Outpost last October?

I was there in late May, noticed it was gone, and asked the CM at the F&G merchandise stand that was there instead where the beads were. He said they were gone. I said "gone for now or gone forever?" and he said gone gone, as far as he knew, but that I was not the first person to have asked about it.

I tweeted the WDWToday account about them and they said "Unfortunately, they are no longer available. We apologize!"
I followed that up by asking if they'd be back at some point and got "You never know what will be featured at our merchandise locations!" as an answer.

I meant to email at some point about it. Perhaps I will do that now.

Just wondering if the beads ever made it back? I used to buy a new pair of earrings there every trip.

This was a tradition for me as well. It was one of the few souvenirs I use in my daily life. I am not a fan of other types of jewelry offered by Disney. I, too, was hoping they would return. Ironically the last time Impurchased one (December of '16), I mentioned to the CM that my daughter had cut the clasp off of one. She told me to bring it back and they would reattach it for me. I did just that the next trip, it the stand was gone.

If true, that's really fascinating. I'm assuming these were third-party vendors, who pay a fee to set up shop there. So it makes one wonder - were they skipping out on some Epcot rent or something?
