Hi everyone!!!!
We are going to Disney on our first vacation, but we are also planning to go to the beach for a day. Can anyone recommend a good beach to take a 4 and 7 year old to?
Thank you so much!!!! :cool1:

I am no expert but when we went 6 years ago, we went to Cocoa Beach since it was the closest. It's an easy hour drive. There is a public beach that is easy to find and they have umbrella rentals and public bathrooms right there. Our kids were 5,6 & 10 at the time. We're going back again this August and will go to Cocoa Beach again. To me, it's a shame to go all the way to Florida and not go to a beach. Their beaches are beautiful. Just make sure you keep reapplying sunscreen. We put it on a few times but being in the water so much, you really need to reapply. We all got pretty burned. I remember going to Test Track the next day and the shoulder strap was killing me!

Cocoa Beach is an easy choice, and easy to get to. Also close by is Daytona Beach (Right up I-4), with the beach, racetrack and other amenities. A little furthur north is St. Augustine, a nice beach and some historic sites. All of these beach areas can be researched on the web, and you can get other ideas for your day out(restaurants, etc.) Have fun.

Cocoa is a very good choice. Daytona would be a close second in terms of time to drive.
