Is the food good here? Or is it better to go just for the ice cream? Is the ice cream really great or just ok? It looks like most of the sundaes can be ordered at the to go window. Is the ice cream and toppings of great quality or more generic? Been to ghiradellis and thought that was great. We are staying at yacht club so it's not out of the way, just wondering if it's worth having a meal here. We are not in the dining plan. If the ice cream is the star here we could get sundaes for lunch one day to go.

We go here each trip for ice cream only. The kitchen sink was fun (flashing lights, cheering, tons of ice cream/toppings) , but it (ice cream) was just ok. We all really enjoy the No Way Jose sundae and now it's what we all order each trip. The kitchen sink was a 'one and done' for us - glad we did it but don't have to do it again. We have not ordered food here, but have heard decent reviews on their burgers.
Regardless, an ADR is highly recommended as it's very small inside and walk-up people will likely have a long wait.
To Go window has limited options, but it's fine if you are just looking for a cone/cup of ice cream or a small sundae.

They have pretty good burgers. We didn't try anything else. It can be hard to get in without an ADR unless you go at off peak times and even then:scared:.

We have a reservation here but was debating keeping it. Sounds like the ice cream is not that outstanding. Maybe we'll just get sundaes to go.

Love their burgers and sandwiches.....and really good onion rings!

It's a fun, relatively inexpensive place to eat a meal if you just want to explore the Epcot area resorts. We enjoy playing mini golf at Fantasia Gardens in the late afternoon, then having dinner at Beaches and Cream, and then walking the Boardwalk and playing in the arcade next door for a little while. The Angus burger and grilled cheese are actually pretty good. The kids mac and cheese is NOT the usual Disney orange looking stuff. The ice cream is decent, but honestly, Brusters or Cold Stone is better.

Loved both. Best grilled cheese I ever had, and I didn't think there was much you could do to a grilled cheese :)

The ABSOLUTE BEST Grilled Cheese anywhere!!!!! (the photo doesn't do it justice but my dd constantly brings this up whenever we have a grilled cheese anywhere else...:P

We're heading back there in about 2 weeks, can't wait, will definitely get me another one of these!!:D:D

Last I heard, the ice cream at B&C is Edy's brand. (Ghirardelli has its own brand (which I can't buy in my supermarket, so I'd lean towards ghirardelli).) But B&C does have great atmosphere.

This sounds like a nice plan. One of our goals for our next trip is to visit the Epcot resorts area and we would love to do something like this on an open afternoon/evening.

I find that the food is fine, more of the QS variety. The ice cream tastes good. What I finding shocking is how small the restaurant is. There's only about 4-5 tables & maybe 4-5 booths. Then maybe 8 stools at the counter. Its very cute inside, but they need a much bigger restaurant. There's an empty restaurant in the back of BC, maybe called Ariels, I think it's used for private events. I think this would be a great spot for Beaches N Cream

I would honestly do both! The food there is great - really good burgers and fries. The ice cream is also great - many different choices and the kitchen sink always seems like a lot of fun to do! They also now have a mickey sink, a smaller version of the kitchen sink - it's very yummy!

If you only have time for one though, do dessert! :)

Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed the review. I will be trying Beaches and Cream for the first time in May for my birthday, and now I am even more anxious to eat there! Thanks again!

Yep, I agree with a couple of the other posters, the grilled cheese was absolutely extraordinary. That's reason enough to go for the food. Make sure you get an ADR, B&C is very small and very popular.

The Fountain over at the Dolphin serves homemade ice cream, if that influences anyone's dessert decisions. They don't accept the dining plan, so it tends to be less crowded.

I never heard it was Edy's before but I wouldn't be surprised. The ice cream was fine, but nothing special like Ghirardelli's. The burgers are pretty close to CS quality- also nothing special IMO. It's a cute place with average food.
