We actually did both for dinner on our last trip (though on different days, of course). As stated, they aren't the same experience. However, we enjoyed both. A party of 7 might be kind of cramped at Beaches & Cream. We are only a party of 3 and had a booth, but saw larger groups clustered around the small bistro/cafe tables they have. It didn't look comfortable. In contrast, Rose and Crown has more room. So I guess it depends on what kind atmosphere and experience you're going for. B&C is great for casual diner food with ice cream but it's not relaxing. R&C can be a more leisurely meal though the menu has fewer "familiar" items (we still found plenty to enjoy).
