We are going to WDW on a Magical Gathering and I am having so much trouble finding food for our first night! Everything I want is not available...

I finally thought of Beaches & Cream but when I called the Magical Gathering office I was told that they do not do PS. Is that true? The CM didn't seem to have it all together so I am a bit skeptical! :)

Help!

You may want to chose a place that has more seating like 50's Prime Time, Ohana or Boma ( if your party hasn't been to AKL its awesome and worth a trip) ;)

Yes, Beaches and Cream is a great little burger/ice cream shop, but it is tiny. Very limited seating and it is usually pretty busy. If you have a large group, I would think they would have a hard time accomdating you, unless you went at very off peak times.

Does anyone think it would be difficult to eat here during Christmas week? (I'm guessing yes) We are trying to find a good place to eat lunch in the Boardwalk area on our arrival day. We were going to go to the Dolphin Fountain but a CM from the hotel told me it will be closed for rehab. Any other ideas? Thanks!

If you arrive for lunch by 11AM or 11:15 at the latest and you do not have more than 4 people in your party you should be OK, after that all bets are off....everything will be SUPER busy Xmas week and since B&C has like 4 or 6 booths and maybe 6 little tables and the counter and that's it for seating....it doesn't take much to fill it up.

It would definately NOT be a good choice for a grand gathering event....way too small for even moderately sized groups!!

I've personally done Beaches and Cream with a pretty large group - at around 3:00 in the afternoon. There is an arcade next door (pretty nice, with air hockey and lots of other games), so we sort of used that as a waiting area since they could only take us into the restaurant one small group at a time. It worked out okay this way, so if you've got your heart set on eating here, and especially if you have kids 10 & older in your party this might be a possible approach. As each group finished, they moved into the arcade area and spent time there until all our groups were done eating.

would be to go over to the Dolphin Fountain. It's very similar to Beaches & Cream, but not quite as hectic. Fun atmosphere, nice menu, good prices - maybe even a little less expensive than B & C. I've eaten here as well, and it's definitely comparable to Beaches & Cream and often not as crowded. No ADR's there either, though, I think. If you're a DVC member, I believe there's a 20% discount.

I was told the Dolphin Fountain is closed for rehab now until early 2006. You might call the hotel to confirm this.

The Yacht Club Galley is open for lunch and they have a good menu with a wide variety of choices. It is a nice quiet place, too.

If you want to walk over to the Boardwalk, you can have lunch at either the ESPN Club or Big River Grill.

Thank you for your help!

I'm still trying for Ohana... Not having much luck but I'm trying!!! I think I'll skip this one this time...
