Beaches & Cream Dessert Question

While reading a TR, my DD and I were loving the pictures of the desserts served at Beaches & Cream. [When you are 7, how can you go wrong with Oreos, ice cream and a cherry nose? ;)]

When I suggested possibly adding this restaurant to our next trip just for the desserts my DH wondered if we should just eat a meal there. So our question is this, can you order any of the desserts off the menu if you are on the DDP?:confused3

Obviously, I know we wouldn't be able to order the kitchen sink:rotfl2: but wonder if DD could get the Mickey sundae and if there is a dollar value limit for your dessert. The No Way Jose sundae is calling DH's name.:thumbsup2

BTW, is the food as good as it looked in the photos I've seen?? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Last I remember, the No Way Jose cannot be ordered on the dining plan.

I don't think the food is that great and certainly not worth the long waits often required to get one of the 10 tables here. We stop by occasionally when we stay at BC but I don't think it's good enough to travel to the resort.

Not sure about the deserts..We were on the dining plan and did have the NO way jose and were allowed it as the desert, but others here were not allowed it.As for the food it is ok.Nothing fantastic. It is typical burger and fries that chances are you have had equally good at home.It is a cute place, but definitely very very very tiny and can have long long long waits for tables.

I'm not sure about what you can order on the DP there, but we LOVED our burgers, they were definitely the best we had at WDW. And I have to say the service was outstanding! Fortunately, we didn't have to wait in line, we walked right in and were seated. We will definitely go back next time.

I don't think I'd be able to eat a full meal there. I'd stick with just ice cream, especially since it seems hit or miss on what's allowed.

We are planning on going next Saturday having a big lunch earlier in the day and then going to Beaches and Cream for dinner around 7:30PM.

Saw pictures of the Kitchen Sink, we will attempt it, not sure how much will be able to consumer but it will definitively be fun trying.

The No Way Jose is a meal in itself! DH had been dying to try it and went hungry for a late lunch (no entree, just ice cream) and didn't finish it. Just have ice cream for lunch or dinner and pay OOP. If you go at an odd time, say between 1:30 and 4:30, or early at 11am-11:30, usually short lines or none at all.

Thanks to all who have posted...

Maybe we will just stop by for ice cream after a heated round of mini golf. Last visit we were so toasted that DD slept from course thru Boardwalk and the gateway and all the countries and the show at the American pavilion. We ended up covering her with a towel to make sure she didn't freeze with the air conditioning.
