I am looking for opinions on if it is worth the hassel of traveling between resorts (no rental car) to eat here...are the burgers really better than anywhere else on property?

They are better than fast food places but not as good as some full service spots IMHO. Kona, Grand Floridian Cafe, LTT,etc. serve better burgers. I would not make a special trip.

We like to walk to Beaches & Cream on an afternoon that we are at Epcot. It's only about a 5 minute walk from the International Gateway. We've always enjoyed the food here - save room for dessert! ;)

I can't comment on the burgers because I don't eat them, but I love B&C. The atmosphere is great - nothing else like it on property. The food is very good. I usually get their veggie burger and a milkshake. DD got a Lime Rickey there last visit and thought it was the greatest thing ever. Its places like this that make going to Disney such a special treat.

As for the travel hassle, just do what we do. Have lunch or dinner there a day that you are in Epcot and just walk over. No hassle at all. Actually a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the park.

We love Beachs and Cream. It is a really fun place. We love Y&B club.

It isn't that hard to get to with out a car if you are at Epcot or MGM. You can walk form WS at Epcot in 5 min and take a boat from MGM. (infact it is a good place to stop if you are going from MGM to Epcot.)

It is a good cheap place eat, and fun.

It depends on where you are staying. CS used to have a bus right to BW, and it is just a short walk from there.

I wouldn't say their burgers alone make it worth your travel hassle. The No Way Jose Sundae MAKES IT WORTH THE HASSLE! The burgers are good but the sundaes are great!

And if you go on an Epcot day you can walk over. On an MGM day you can boat over. :sunny:

I finally checked it out on our last trip and it wasn't worth it for the wait! If it wasn't so crowded, then yes, I guess I'd eat there again but it wasn't worth waiting over an hour to get a table on a Sunday night.

Can't argue with that. I wouldn't wait over an hour for a table at ANY restaurant anywhere. We usually do lunch at B&C. If you get there near opening time, no wait at all. Also if you do dinner at an off time no wait.

Beaches and Cream is a fun place and they have great ice cream. Last year, the burgers were pretty good but I've read a few posts stating the burgers have changed and are not as good. We'll probably try again next month and hope for the best. I agree it's not worth waiting an hour. The Dolphin Fountain has very good hambergers and grilled cheese.

disneysteve, have you ever eaten at the Plaza Restaurant (not pavillion) at the end of Main St? If you enjoy the ambience of B&C, I think you would like it as well. It is like an old fashioned ice cream parlor too. No counter with stools just tables but a prettier space. I forgot to mention it in my first post.
And it takes PSs unlike B&C.

And the burgers are better. ;) Great ice cream according to my ice cream lovers.

We do stop and get burgers at B&C on some of our BCV stays. But like katallo, I've read some reports lately saying either the burgers are no longer as good or that sometimes they run out of the "good ones" and use some preformed ones. Let's hope it is a temporary situation.

BCV23 - Thanks for the idea to try the Plaza at MK. We were actually looking for another MK restaurant & we enjoy B&C a lot. I might just try for a PS at the Plaza for our May trip. :)

Thanks for the suggestion. Even though I've been to Disney 24 times over the past 26 years, there are still some places we have actually never eaten and this is one of them. We have looked at the menu various times and it just wasn't what we were looking for at the time for one reason or another. I'll have to go over to Deb's site and check the menu and put it on the list for next trip.

Thanks so much for all your responses. I had planned on havng lunch there taking a break from MGM ( we have eaten at all sitdowns at MGM). Thanks to everyones great responses I think we are going to give it a try.
