Hi

We are due to be in EPCOT on 13th August, for our first park day (we arrive the day before). Normally we are exhausted and struggling to adapt to the heat so I had the great idea to book an ADR at Beaches and Cream for a lovely ice cream around lunch time... but I left it too late and now can't get an ADR

Anyone got any suggestions? If we go at lunch time is the wait going to be huge?

Thanks in advance.

I am guessing it'll be busy.

We went in December with an ADR, standby was a 20 min wait. I would at least double that

People cancel all the time. Just keep checking. You might luck out as it gets closer, especially at the 24 hour prior mark. Otherwise, I wouldn't walk all the way over there without a reservation. You most likely would have to sit outside in the heat. If your goal is a break from the hot day, you may be disappointed.

Not sure how its working out with ADR's but we have done 2 late lunches without much wait. But walk up real lunch aka around noon I would expect a wait.

I did a lunchtime walk up with no wait, but this was in Jan or Feb. Checking for cancellations is always a good idea, but I'd still suggest a walk up if you can't get a reservation.

When we've stayed at Yacht Club and tried to go to Beaches & Cream without a reservation around noon we've been quoted 60+ minutes for a wait (and didn't wait). I wouldn't go without a reservation, although you might be able to get just some ice cream to go. You could go to Beaches & Cream and if the wait is too long get lunch from Hurricane Hanna's, Boardwalk Bakery or Big River Grille.

If you just want ice cream, they do have a to go window. The full ice cream menu is not available, but I think you can get the Mini Mickey Sink and No Way Jose, sugar or waffle cones, shakes, and I think a hot fudge sundae.

Changed "walk up" to "to go". Just saw what I wrote.

If you are going to try to walk up, I would do so when they first open since they seat walk ups at the counter. When we've been there for lunch, there are always people walking up wanting to eat there and being turned away. I would keep trying for a reservation.

Was there a couple weeks ago and it seemed between 2:30 and 3 PM walk-ups were getting in either immediately or with little wait. But don't know if that is always the case. Also sometimes counter space is open and if you don't mind sitting at the counter you can get lucky as a walk-up.

I managed to get an ADR while in the parks in May. It had been completely booked during the time I wanted for months. Definitely keep checking.
