Is it me or did Disney way underplan this soda shop. It was always packed and the take out line was always like a half hour wait. It could be htree times as big and would still be full? What were all your impressions of it?

Yes, it is to small! I think disney made it small to keep it charming.

I think it is too small for the traffic it gets now. But I think if it were any bigger it would lose its charm. I don't think they underplanned it...I think it got way more popular than intended.

I love Beaches and Cream! It's usually an afternoon stop during an Epcot day.

Yes, it is extremely small. I first went after Illuminations 11/23. Boy, what a mistake-the place was packed! So I asked the CM at the outside kiosk when a slow time was. She just laughed and said "There's no slow time, just less busy time." As she suggested, I tried late afternoon Monday-so exactly one week ago today, I had my first No Way Jose Sundae there. Late afteroon is a good (I mean, not so busy) time. But the CM who waited on me said customers RUN over there after Illuminations, so that's the busiest time. Try late afternoon.

I want to try the Kitchen Sink someday.

*drools*

Every topping on every flavor

21.99 and well worth it!

Ariels was closed years ago to make room for the Beaches and Cream expansion that never happened. According to a CM that I spoke with at the front desk that was still a plan but no one expects it to happen soon. The sundaes are always good there. We tried the kitchen sink for six of us a few years ago and it isn't that great. There are a lot of things in it that I could do without; the cookes, muffins and cake for one. One table with four people ordered two of them. It appeared to be on the verge of melting by the time they constructed them and by the time we left, they could have eaten it with a straw.

I could be getting forgetful in my age but I remember it being very nearly packed even way back in 1990 or 1991? Does anyone remember when it wasn't extremely busy? I loved it then and of course still do!

It wasn't busy when we were there the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We showed up around 3:30 or 4, and we had our choice of seating. We were one of 3 tables.

About the KS - once is enough! We did it for the kids, but it was the worst tasting dessert we had. Forget the KS - go get Dad's Super Sundae at 50's PT!

Sigh. We were just there during the week of 11/17 - 24 and I had one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had in my life! I am drooling just thinking about it! :)

I also think that if it was any bigger it would lose some of its charm. When we were there we walked right in without a ps and got seated right away.
