Beaches and Cream

Do we need to make a reservation here if we want to eat here? Also, on the DDP is it a counter service or table service?

They don't take reservations and it would be considered a TS credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

It is a small restaurant. If you go right at meal times, or right after Illuminations it is very crowded and you will have a wait. Try to go right when it opens or early for dinner

I would go at off times. It took our party of 7 about a 45 minute wait at about 3 pm on a Thursday in June.

It's a table service. They have servers who take your order and bring your food.

As noted above - they don't even take reservations, walkups only.

I can't speak for their whole menu but if you wanted to go there for a Hamnurger or Cheeseburger, you can order the exact same ones at Hurricane Hanna's which is located on the outside by Stormalong Bay and it would be less expensive, although for atmosphere sitting inside Beaches & Cream would be a lot better. Finally my family and I have been there two times and the 1st time we went in August 2010 we waited around 20 - 25 minutes and it was after 9:30 PM. However the 2nd time I went in December 2010 it was at 8:30 PM and we got seated right away, so there are times when you won't have to wait for a table.

If I remember right, isn't Beaches and Cream the ONLY TS resturaunt that doesn't take ADRs?

No. ESPN Club doesn't either.

Or Big River Grill, although they have a "call ahead" they don't take reservations through Disney.

There is a separate entrance for Beaches and Cream To Go that offers a limited carryout menu......ice cream cones and such, no food. Best of all, the one scoop ice cream cones are a snack credit on the DP. Flavors last week were Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Mint-Chocolate Chip. Check over on the Yacht Club/Beach Club resort thread, there may be pictures of the menus posted.
