Beaches and cream

Just curious if anyone knows -- are wait times lower in September because of the lower crowds?

I've noticed that at the majority of restaurants in the parks & at the resorts, if you eat at "off times" (like eat an early dinner around 4pm) that you don't have as long of a wait. Just a suggestion!

What is that sundae called??? I HAVE to order that!!! Is it for one person or to share???

The sundae in the photo is called the No Way Jose, which is made with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and peanut butter. It's one of the best items on the entire menu!

I love Beaches & Cream for its ice cream, not the regular food. My family loves to go there for dessert after IllumiNations or Fantasmic! I think my favorite sundae is the Fudge Mud Slide, but I also strongly recommend the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream.

I think Beaches & Cream serves my favorite ice cream on property, along with Ghirardelli.

The No Way Jose was amazing. I couldn't finish it though, and I hated leaving any behind. It would be good for sharing. That's a great picture of it!

good grief that thing is huge. Are all of the sundaes that big? I would totally go in there and order that for myself just by seeing the menu, no way I could finish that but I am a sucker for peanut butter on my ice cream...

I have been there twice and personally I say their Cheeseburgers are my 2nd favorite among any restaurants in WDW after the ESPN Club and their Milkshakes are very good.

Now the 1st time I went in August 2010 I waited around 25 - 30 minutes for a table and that was around 9:30 PM when I got there. However the 2nd time I went was in December 2010 at 8:30 PM and got seated right away, so sometimes that can happen where you won't need to wait.

DH and I went there in July 2010 and we thought the burgers were very good also. We got LUCKY and didn't have to wait too terribly long for a couple seats at the counter. Good thing for us because it was right before we had to leave for the airport. Hoping to take the kiddos there for a kitchen sink (and possibly burgers too!) in June... I'm sure we won't get as lucky and will have to wait a while for a table for 7, though...

We went this past September at an off-hour and the wait was still 45 minutes (30 minutes longer than they stated).
The place was also a pain to get to!

I thought the burger was definitely decent and enjoyed it very much. I forgot what everyone else had but everyone enjoyed their meals.

I also felt that the [manager/head chef?] was particularly knowledgeable and experienced with food allergies; my (then 2-yo, now 3-yo) daughter is allergic to peanuts and cashews (but no other tree nuts) as well as egg whites.
I'm sure it's part of the standards of WDW chefs and foodservice staff, but we felt that he was above and beyond knowledgeable and understanding (along with the [manager/head chef?] at Crystal Palace).

We felt that was really important, especially in a place that specializes in awesome-looking peanut butter sundaes.

As an aside, I really-really miss peanut butter, especially on my ice cream. C'est la vie!

In December, I asked for a "one-scoop" No Way José. It was a good size for one person.

Is it busy at night as it is during the mid-day?

Usually people love to eat on their way out when a park closes (hence why stores and food stands still open in front of the park) but wondering how many people leave and then head towards beaches and cream?

This is something i would love to do after a night in Epcot/HS but I don't know if i could take waiting 45min to sit (party of 4) so getting a counter would probably be difficult.

So instead of Beaches and Cream, we walked to the Dolphin resort and had a similar meal at The Fountain. We were seated within a few minutes. The Fountain has better burgers, IMHO.

That's good because their food is way overrated. The cheeseburger is just ok - nothing exciting about it and the patty is very thin and definitely looks like it comes from a frozen state. If you can't get in to here, you can get ice cream to go and I wouldn't be too upset. I felt like someone threw up pepto bismol in this place and it was unsettling to be in there.
