Beaches and Cream

Trying to find out if Beaches and Cream is really good. I see it mentioned by people as a place they always go to. It sounds like a soda fountain place that was in the Swan/Dolphin but I wouldn't call it a place I had to go to. To anyone that has been to both of these places is it better than that place?

It is a soda shop type place. The food is burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and ice cream. There are better places to eat, (I think the burgers are a bit better than others, at other CS places) but I think for us it's more of a tradition. We don't go just to eat and leave, we make an evening of it, by walking around the lake, maybe play putt putt golf. It's worth a try, I'm not sure what your looking for, I haven't eaten at the other so I'm sorry I can't compare.

The soda fountain in the Dolphin didn't give me the same boardwalk feeling that I get at Beaches and Cream. You also have many more and much better icecream choices at Beaches and Cream. The food is good not great but the atmosphere is wonderful. It always make a great family memory.

Beaches and Cream is okay. I went there once and I'll probably never return. For me, the burgers were not seasoned very well. They were tasteless. (This could be because I eat my cheeseburgers plain, so if you are fine just having ketchup to season your burgers you might like them). We also ordered ice cream afterward and it was melted by the time it reached us. I really dislike that!

This could have just been a one-time thing, if you like a soda-fountain type place, by all means, give it a whirl! I love the atmosphere of the Beach Club/Yacht Club, and Beaches and Cream fits right in.

We really enjoyed B & C. Their ice cream is great. DW and I shared a "No Way Jose". We will defenatly go back the icecream was awesome.

Beaches and Cream has wonderful ice cream! As for the food, it is fine, nothing great. Like oher posters have said, it's in a nice environment, and a nice tradition. However, I definitely recommend any of the ice cream choices

I wouldn't call it a dining destination. But if you're in the vicinity... We try to hit B&C at least once per BC stay. It is small (seats about 40 inside), so it fills up quickly. Try 11-ish or mid-afternoon (between the lunch and dinner crowds). On our last full day in 2003, we played putt-putt at Fantasia Gardens, and then had icecream at B&C for lunch. Serious yum!

Hi from BWV, we are getting ready to go for dinner over to B&C we love it. Food is great and the kids like sharing the No Way Jose yum.

It is one of our favorites, and we go every single trip. It is definitely a destination for a lunch or dinner because it is a quick boat ride away from MGM and Epcot. I disagree with the posters who dislike the food. We have tried most of the food and have never ever had a bad meal. This is more than I can say for the other Disney Restaurants. The only bad thing is the Kitchen Sink, ehich is a little gross. Go at an offtime though!

It depends. It is a bit of walk but a pleasant one. My DH groused about walking all the way over there just for a hamburger this trip. We have liked all of the food we have had there but its not "WOW" We havent done the ice cream except for milkshakes which were good and plentiful.
