Beaches and Cream will not allow sharing

Yes but it has never been a requirement that all members of your party be on the dining plan.

I'm not sure how they would enforce it and I'm sure people would lie to get around it, but if all the people actually on the DDP were charged credits (and didn't share with the non DDP person/people) and the non DDP person/people ordered whatever and paid OOP there wouldn't be a problem either.

There are quite a few of us from this area on this site! I hope you had a good trip.

How could they charge you for credits if you did not get anything? Who is to say that the three of you are all on the dining plan. Families do split up and travel with other family members that may not be on the plan. What if only two of you are so how could they force you to use a credit for someone not no the plan after all that is not allowed by dining plan rules. I would just have the third person explain they are not on the plan and order a coke or fries. I would refuse to sign the slip they brought out if it was not correct.

I agree with you. There is nothing in the dining plan that says all members will be charged 1 plan credit (or 2 according to the restaurant) if they are seated together, whether all members decide to eat or not. I would have to call the manager and if he said, yeah, we're going to charge you for food whether you wanted it or not, I would just leave.:sad2:

Tutio Italia, I hope I spelled that correctly we shared and they were absolutely fine. In the Yachtsmen steakhouse and Narcoose's (sp.) my daughter did not want anything on the menu she is 14 so she ate counter service right before we went so she didn't really eat anything during the meal so we didn't share but she had a bit of my dessert. Also, at the Coral reef she just had her own dessert, we paid oop. At Kona Cafe for breakfast one morning she ordered the big kahuna and the waiter and me and my husband laughed because it is pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, bacon etc., she is tiny and thin and her with a Big kahuna breakfast was funny, the waiter said, a big breakfast for a little girl!!
She ate about half of it. Oh, we also shared at Tony's town square. We had 12 days of meals and I almost forgot about Tony's because it was at the beginning of the trip.

So, it's just myself and DD18 and we will be in wdw starting Nov 14 - 23. I hadn't even thought about sharing, I guess I figured it's not allowed at all. So, we have adr's at Tutto Italia, and Tony's Town Square, too. sharing at one of these might just be a good idea, especially the tutto Italis. So, do you think they'd let us two share one TS dinner? How big are the portions?

My DD got the big kanuna last year, lol! She was 17 but a small girl herself and she ate just about all of it, I was pretty surprised! Not that she can't eat when she wants to, she very excited for our trip with the FD cause she loves food and plans to eat a lot! :goodvibes

I'll cross B&C off my list. Sure, they have the right to establish and enforce a stupid policy like that, if they want to prepare and then throw away a lot of extra food, alienate guests, and help WDW sell fewer dining plans.

This thread is 4 years old. Best to start a new one if you ha e a question on current policies. Pulling up these very old threads just tends to cause confusion.
