Heading down to the world in September (yippee!) and was thinking about trying B&C.

I would love to get your opinions good and bad!

Thanks everyone,
Missy

After hearing a lot of good reviews here, we decided to try Beaches & Cream on our last trip. We were very happy with our meals. I had a burger which, like I had read, was probably one of the best burgers on property. The fries were tasty too. DH wanted the prime rib sandwich, but they were out of that. Instead they offered him a French Dip, which wasnt on the menu. He was very pleased with that too. The kids had hotdogs, but 1 had fallen asleep and the other wasnt far behind, so they didnt eat much. I tried a bite of the hot dog and thought it was very good.
Our only complaint was there was about an hour wait, but on a Saturday night, I guess thats to be expected..and it was worth it. ;)
We are making it a point to go back on our next trip.

CamColt-

Like you the only thing I had read about was the burgers. Thanks for your feedback. I'll be sure to stay away on a Saturday night.

We love Beaches & Cream and eat there almost every trip! Great cheeseburgers and milkshakes. It is small so be prepared to wait if you go at prime lunch or dinner hours. In early Oct we were able to sit (6 of us) right away. One time when it was just my husband and myself we ate at the counter and watched them make several kitchen sinks!

hi:wave:
we are also planning to eat here in october::yes:: what would be the best times to try and get seated at lunch or dinner

thanks eve::MinnieMo

We are also planning on trying this in Sept. We are going to go to MGM, then take the ferry to B&C, then walk to Epcot. On a previous thread, everyone said that between 2 and 4pm is your best bet.

we had the prime sandwich with 1/2 fries, 1/2 o rings which was good and a bannana split which was ok ( hub picked and we split) the best thing was our waitress Maria...spunky, fun and a great waitress to boot. would go back for a lighter lunch but like Ghiradelli sundaes better( warm cookie sundae yummmmm)

We enjoy B&C & think it is a fun place to eat. In fact, last week we got "The Kitchen Sink" which we had a blast with.

FYI - It is a VERY small soda shop type place. There is a counter, which may seat about 12 people, about 8 very small tables - very small & about 4 booths. With the exception of The Kitchen Sink, I think everything else could also be ordered through their take out line & eaten outside/poolside.

Regardless of size, though, we really enjoy it there. I think the idea of taking the boat from MGM & then walking to EPCOT is a great one!!!

We ate there for the first time at christmas. We couldn't fault it, the food and service were excellent. Onion rings were lovely and milkshakes devine.

Can someone tell me where exactly B&C is located. I stayed at the villas in December (going back again this December), but never saw the restaurant. Just wondering where it is located so I don't miss it again this time.

It's right near one of the entrances to Stormalong Bay. It's next to the game room.

If you are walking through the hotel towards the Yacht Club you can exit the hotel at Ariel's, continue on the walkway & you will come to Beaches & Cream.

Just ate at Beaches and Cream last Wednesday. The best time to go would be between 2-4 pm. Food and desserts were great, as always. Bought quick and casual meal vouchers before the trip to give the credit card a rest and ended up saving around $75.00 for this meal (Party of 8).

Is it a sit down only place or can I get an order to go. I thought if the wait was too long we could get the food and go sit by the lake and eat.

i think we caught this place on an 'off' day.

First off...our waitress kept forgetting we were there - we waited much longer than we should have for lunch. (it was surprisingly quiet when we went - around 11:30 during the day for an early lunch...) we both had cheeseburger, fries, with milkshakes (which took 20 minutes to get) to go.

I dunno...really didn't do it for me...don't see what the hype is all about. The food was decent...atmosphere was ok...but I felt we could have saved money and ate at counterservice places and be just as pleased.

I had my first egg cream at B&C...Delicious!
We skipped dinner one year and got the kitchen sink and we still couldn't finish it between the three of us, It was something fun to do!

Honestly I can't figure why anyone would want to wait an hour for what is in essence a pretty good burger and fries; as for ice cream and milkshakes, well, you can find those anywhere. B & C is very cute, and worth a stop if you want a quick bite, but I emphasize "quick" - if the CM says the wait is 25 minutes or more, just go someplace else.

We waited the 25 minutes & I wouldn't have dreamed of going anywhere else. My DD's have always wanted to have "The Kitchen Sink" but we've never gotten the opportunity during our last 2 or 3 trips. We were always too full everytime we were near Beaches & Cream. Even last year when we stayed at the Yacht Club we didn't get the chance.

They were so excited I think I would have waited an hour for a table.
