I've heard that Beaches and Cream has take out. I was wondering if anyone's tried it? I was thinking of getting a No Way Jose sundae and taking it back to my room at the BCV or just sitting in the rocking chairs downstairs. Has anyone done this-gotten food there to go? If so, how quick is it? Are there long take-out lines? I'd love to hear any one's experiences.

hi,

we took an order out this past April. We did not try the ice cream because we were too full! :D I had a burger, my DH had a chicken sandwich and the kids each had a kids burger meal which came with 2 small burgers, chips and a cookie. The could have split the meal, it was more than enough and the food was very good. We waited about 20 minutes after ordering around 6:30 on a weekday I believe.

We sat on the "porch" watching all the kids swim in stormalong bay.

I would definintely recommend it, though a bit $$, it was approx. $38-40.00 for that meal for 4 of us including the drinks.

Hope you try it, enjoy!

On our last trip (May 2001) we noticed the B&C
takeout took about as long as ordering and eating in the
restaurant. I find it took a little too long for a take out line
but food was good although a little pricey.

They even have a separate line/door for takeout. I never did ice cream, but I did burgers take out several times. The wait wasn't too bad, but it is not pre made so you have to wait while they cook it-usually about 15-20 minutes. Great food, but they need to make the place bigger! (actually being small probably helps it be so good due to lower volume)

Woo hoo! I'm really glad to hear this. For some reason, I thought the only thing you could take out was ice cream. It's nice to know you can get burger "to go," too.

I actually prefer to get the sundaes to go, because of the shape of the dish. When you get a sundae in the restaurant, it is served in a traditional tall sundae glass and a lot of the toppings drip down the outside. The "to go" dishes are more bowl shaped, and you don't lose a drop!
