What is the "sink" made of? Is it an actual dish or a plastic souvenier you take home? I think my son wants a "trophy"! ;)

It's a metal "sink" that you cannot take home as a souvenir. It's made specifically for the presentation of that treat. Sorry!

now that would be cool! Sorry, he will have to settle for a picture - aybe before nad after shots :rotfl2:

Yep, keeping the sink would be cool but you would have to empty it of it's contents first. No mean feat.

Regardless of the fact you do not get to keep the sink, he will be thrilled with the attention that goes with ordering one. Just keep the camera handy and snap away.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but can you specify which flavors of ice cream you want? What about toppings? Just wondering...in case we want to do this and DD has some food allergies! ;)

I know that you can specify the ice cream, but I'm not sure about the toppings part....we don't like coffee ice cream so we always get another scoop of mint instead...you'll enjoy it!!

An almost empty Kitchen Sink.

My DH and his son this past May.

Unfortunately you cannot take it home but as they say "A picture is worth a thousand words".

As far as topings go - you can change whatever you do not like.

Question about Kitchen Sink- How big is this thing actually?? and how much $, I would love to get it for my GS (4) when we go in June, but it would actually only be me & him eating it- probably wouldn't make a dent in it- Are the standard sundae's big?

Here it is on the menu from allearsnet. As you can see from the empty bowl in my photo - it is very large. We had 4 adults (one being a 20 year old boy) and I believe we ate all of it.

For you and your son - I would imagine the regular one would be great.

Kitchen Sink - Eight Scoops of Ice Cream served with all the Toppings in the house and a whole can of Whipped Cream $21.99

Old-Fashioned Sundae - Choice of one of the following toppings: Marshmallow, Strawberry, Pineapple, Peanut Butter, Hot Fudge, Butterscotch, or Chocolate Syrup topped with Whipped Cream, Toasted Almonds and A Cherry. Two Scoops ($5.99) or 3 Scoops of ice cream ($7.99); Extra Toppings $.99 each

I forget...is this something that if you finish the whole thing you get it for free? Any gimmick like that?

nope...unfortunately there is no gimmick like that...if you finish it all, you still pay for it...

to answer the op's question, the regular sundaes are still huge! you and your GS would be more than satisfied with them if you didn't want to order the sink...

Me and DW usually each get the hot fudge sundae at POP (but this may be at all resorts I'm not sure) with what ever topping you want on it for 1 snack credit each. These are filling, taste great and alot less then $21 for the kitchen sink. But some day when we go down and not on the DDP I would love to try that kitchen sink and split it with DW, it looks like fun.

When we were down this past May I am pretty sure they said if you finish it, by yourself, in one hour, without "losing it" you get it for free. We were staying at The Beach Club and just went in our first night there to check it out and there were some guys in their 20 and one was trying to finish it. Unfortunately, he went out side and "lost it" but came back and continued eating. The people that work there said this happens quite often.

We are planning on going to B&C just to get the Kitchen Sink. However, we are unsure of the best route to take. Should we go to Epcot & take the friendship boat to BCR? Walk? Or drive- directions?
Thanks for your help.

I think I threw up a little watching him make that. wow, I don't know how 8 people could eat that let alone 4.

we got to B&C via Epcots international gateway, it was only about a 5-10minute walk. it was nice to walk along the beach :)
