Are the counter seats often available for a walk in? I will be on my own one night for dinner and thought I might give it a try. No reservation times are showing up but, as I recall from our previous visits, there are seats at the counter. Thanks, Beachfan

Yes, the counter seats are mainly used for walk-ins. I was recently there on my own as a walk-in, and I got a counter seat right away.

Enjoy!

Last Wednesday, around 7ish, the wait for counter seats was 2 1/2-3 hours. I have no clue how they came up with that number.

Since you're a single diner I think there's a very good chance of getting a seat, especially if you go either early around opening or late around closing.

I've had to have counter even with an ADR. I would recommend an ADR here anyway. I've been fortunate with walk ups but we are early diners and that tend to work for us. I have seen it be a 2 hour wait for B&C regardless of the party size.

Was able to walk up as a single diner in December, no wait, late afternoon before dinner. Awesome sundae!

On the same theme, has anyone done the kitchen sink? I'm desparate to try it but just my wife and I going in September staying st the beach club. I'm convinced we could do it as I eat a lot but she's not so keen on trying... Anyone done it as a couple?

They now have a mini-version of the kitchen sink, intended for 2 people. It is really cute! The couple sitting next to me had one, and they bought an empty mini kitchen sink to take with them because they thought it was so cute. I think it was $22 for the mini version, which seems pretty pricey when the full size one is something like $28.99 or thereabouts.

By the way, I guess I was really lucky when I got my counter spot right away. I showed up during peak dinner time (about 6:00) and got right in. There were several other open spots at the counter, and it never did fill up. The rest of the seating stayed full the whole time though.

We did the kitchen sink with me, my husband, a 3-yo and a 5-yo. We finished about 2/3 of it. It was fun, but a melted mess by the time we were done.

It's worth a shot - normally a single diner shouldn't have much of an issue getting a counter seat.
